Will Jesus RAISE The CREMATED?! (Here's what the BIBLE SAYS)

In this video I’m answering the question;
Will Jesus raise the cremated?
Or another way of wording this is, what happens to those who were cremated at the resurrection of the second coming of Jesus Christ?
I’ll start off by saying that God has not given us any specific direction, revelation, or a direct command as to what happens to Christians who were cremated.
There is nothing in the bible to point to specifically to answer this question.
There are some verses we can point to for guidance, however, and this is also a topic I’ve discussed at great lengths within the Christian community before.
A verse I want to share with you is Genesis 3:19, which reads:
“....you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”
This verse is telling us that our physical bodies came from dust, and shall return to dust after death.
Whether that’s through cremation or just the general decomposition over time, it’s a clear message that it’s not the preservation of our physical bodies after death that matters.
After all, there are various things that can happen to bodies after death that are out of our control, too.
Another way I’ve heard this question answered before is simply that when
Jesus comes from heaven and metamorphosizes millions of bodies and works the miracle of resurrection, it’s hard to believe he doesn’t have the power to resurrect cremated bodies.
What happened after someone died according to the bible?
Cremation was practiced in biblical times, but it was not commonly practiced by the Israelites or New Testament believers.
In the culture of biblical times, burial was the most common way of resting a body after death.
Bodies were often laid to rest in tombs, as Jesus was buried, or in caves, and in the ground.
While burial was the most common practice, nowhere in the bible does is command burial as the only method of disposing of a body.
Do Christians believe in cremation?
Despite the bible not giving a command on whether or not we should cremate the dead, some Christians object to cremation.
They say that God will not be able to resurrect the body of someone who has been cremated and re-unite them with their souls and spirit.
I see some Christians pointing to 1 Corinthians 15:35-55 to make this point, which reads:
“It is the same way with the resurrection of the dead. Our earthly bodies are planted in the ground when we die, but they will be raised to live forever. Our bodies are buried in brokenness, but they will be raised in glory. They are buried in weakness, but they will be raised in strength. They are buried as natural human bodies, but they will be raised as spiritual bodies. For just as there are natural bodies, there are also spiritual bodies.”
However, as I already touched on, whether a body has been cremated or not, it’s no more difficult for God to resurrect that body and re-unite it with its soul.
What I say is that Christians who died and were buried thousands of years ago will be more than dust at this point, so how is that any different than being cremated?
I’ll end by saying that the question of cremation or burial is within the realm of Christian freedom, it’s a choice a person should make with the blessing of their loved ones.

The idea that God wouldn’t raise cremated remains is absurd. If that were true, then that would mean ALL the millions of Christians throughout history who DIED in FIRES or explosions, or volcanic eruptions, etc would all be out of luck. Then imagine all the Christians since the beginning of time, who were killed and EATEN by bears, wolves, lions, sharks, crocodiles, etc. Those people didn’t even have ashes. They were digested and then eliminated as fecal waste. God knows us on a molecular level and every molecule will come back together with a single command of His voice.

I was determined to be buried as that’s been the beliefs of my family for generations. However, after reading comments and viewing the video, it reminded me when I was in the hospital and was nearing death. I remember being awake at 0200 and I sat up in my hospital bed and asked God to heal my body. The next morning, the doctor did one last blood test and where my blood test results showed no function of kidneys, my blood tests came back showing unexpected improvement and that continued. I have had full kidney functions as though nothing ever happened to me in the past. I thank God for keeping me on earth to spread his word and help others in many different ways. It is so rewarding and honored to know God loves me and decided to keep me on earth longer. That was when I was 53 and I just celebrated my 64th birthday two days ago. Thank you, Father.

My family were all lost in an explosion when their home blew up from a propane gas leak. I lost my father, an 8-year old niece and my grandmother. They were gone in an instant and left in ashes. My father and grandmother were born again believers and I know that baby girl was taken to glory as well. Such a tragic loss. This is a good example I was going to make about cremation. Tragedies such as this happen and it's not a choice and doesn't mean we won't be Resurrected and be with Jesus. The life we choose when alive is what matters. We could also want in our will to be physically buried but somebody could choose to cremate you instead. We won't know that but it doesn't matter to Jesus Christ because he will resurrect us just the same.

When my mother died, I searched for every scripture to know what happened after death. This comforted me, Ecclesiastes 12, especially verses 6 & 7. Our body is not our spirit. Ecclesiastes 12:6 and 7 state that the spirit returns to God who gave it instantly..... Luke 16:26 states that Lazarus in the rich man are up in Paradise Lazarus is on the right side with Abraham in his bosom and with Jesus where the rich man is on the left side where the not so good people are who didn't make the cut and keep the Commandments of God and repent of their sins. I remember arguing with my mother about my wanting to be an organ donor, and how she said she would never allow anyone to cut my body up. Perhaps we get a whole new body! Hey, perhaps you are even actually born again as an infant and get to experience the joy of growing up again! The rabbit hole runs unimaginably deep! Questions on questions. Would memories be retained? considering this is what defines our thought processes and decisions, essentially making us who we are! Or would we become creatures of pure instinct and emotions? Basically the state we were in before eating the forbidden fruit and gaining knowledge! That's just the Top of the iceberg! eventually, our brains get overwhelmed trying to make sense of it all.... exactly why religion requires faith!

The Bible does not say anywhere our souls/spirits are eternal. There is only one eternal and that's God. Even when we are in heaven, or the new earth, we must eat and drink from the Tree/River of Life. God sustains our bodies, but we are NOT immortal and never was created to be such outside of the power of God.

God doesn’t raise any flesh bodies. As soon as you die your spirit goes back to the Father. That means you’ve already risen as Christ did. You are done with the flesh and do not need it anymore. Have you not read 1 Corinthians 15?

If preserving our dead bodies was important then I believe God would have made that clear all through the books of the Bible.
