Will Kirby Allison win the Hombre Habano title next Friday ?

N.B. I could not edit this video because of WIFI issue. I must apologize for the mistake at the end of the video. it is the 50th Anniversary of Quai d'Orsay and 55th of Trinidad.
Every year Habanos is selecting 3 people to run for the title of Hombre Habano in 3 different categories. Production (the tobacco farmers), Tiendas (shops) and Communication. This year they nominated an American influencer called Kirby Allison specialised in men's style and garments. Since Mr Allison came for the first time in Cuba last year for the Festival, many people are questioning this nomination. Saying it is too soon. The fact taht he is an American citizen is also adding some questioning.
I am 100% sure that he will win the title because of his impressive work during the past year. The quality of his work is second to none. His videos about Cuba and last year's festival are just wonderful. His videos in London visiting Ajay Patel, the Sahakians and Hunters and Frankau were very professional. It is a very difficult task. Thanks to his videos he's really helped increase the popularity of the Havana cigar around the world last year and that his what the prize of communication is about.

Kirby really blew me away with the production value of the Cuba series. I’m not surprised he was nominated. He’s posted a lot of great cigar content throughout 2023 aside from the festival as well. Also as an American I love what Kirby has done for American awareness about Cuban

What most impresses me about Kirby is that he makes videos promoting brands gratis. He doesn't get free items or payment. That's integrity.

No dice for Kirby unfortunately. But losing to the head of L'Amateur de Cigare is nothing to be sad about. Havanoscope was a great publication on its own. If he keeps it up he will win one of these years.

I spoke with a guy in London who works for a brand Kirby promotes. He told me he does it for free. So I've got no beef with Kirby. He only promotes what he believes in.

You do not have to like Mr. Allison, but it is clear, that his content about Habanos on KZbin is unmatched at the moment concerning the quality. I think he brings so many new smokers to this hobby. The series on last years Festival alone would be reason enough to win the title in my opinion!

I disagree with him having the best content, or at least in a sense. Jasmin covers fun topics that are very informative but the production value is not close to kirbys. Kirby obviously covers larger stories and larger figures within the industry, combine that with his production value and it provides a lot of legitimacy to Hanabanos that was not there before. He's really pushing the now necessary narrative that Cuban cigars are a luxury product, since they're priced as such

If you dig through the forums Kirby’s not a very popular fellow. More so because of how he comes off in his mannerisms and personality than the content itself. In any event it’s a pretty contentious topic.

I do not know Mr Allison. I met him a few times. He is very professional and hard working. What he has achieved is tremendous and I must say that he deserves every bit of it. He is very precise and provides great quality content. I cannot say anything negative about him. I can only look at his work and do my best to achieve better quality content!

He must be a great shoe salesman. But with his slippery manner, I'd walk out of his cigar shop backwards. That's not style, that's pure arrogance. His sneaky behaviour alone in the Casa in the old Partagas factory speaks for itself. He doesn't even listen properly. He's nowhere near the class of Jasim, the Sahakians and you, for example. It's not just the person who should adorn himselve with the trophy, Habanos should adorn themselves with the person too. I hope you win it one day, Sir
