★ WILL - 8 uses of (WILL) as a modal verb in spoken English
1. Used to make future tenses, especially to say what you think or hope will happen, or to say what you have decided to do.
• I'm sure everything will be OK.
• I'll tell you later.
• I hope they won't be late.
• What time will she get here?
2. Used to say that you are willing to do something, or that something can do something.
• I'll do whatever you say.
• He said he won't work for Joe.
• My computer won't come on.
3. Used to ask someone to do something or offer something to someone.
• Will you do me a favour?
• Won't you have another glass of wine?
4. Used to give an order or to state a rule.
• Will you be quiet!
• You will do as I say.
• Every employee will carry an identity card at all times.
5. Used in conditional sentences that use the present tense in the 'IF' clause.
