Zoe, I'm turning 53. I have a burning desire to be a doctor. I started swimming, running, doing weight training, I changed my eating habits, aiming for a future as a doctor, I recently returned to my studies after 30 years, but I still need to learn and perfect study and memorization techniques to help me with this purpose. I will tour your videos, I believe that your learning technique can contribute to my life mission. Helping people heal physically and spiritually.

Something I've learned over the years is that the people I know who've always seemed to find learning things 'easy' aren't necessarily harder working or smarter than others - they've generally come across (by accident or design), very efficient ways of learning - sometimes its simply a case of maintaining a child-like curiosity about everything (I'm convinced that curiosity is one of the key reasons some people seem to pick up languages very easily). I'm nearing retirement and setting myself a series of targets - learning three languages is one of those - and I'm finding it fascinating to learn more about the process and just how different peoples approaches to the same problem can be, even if when you get to the core of what's happening in peoples brains, maybe its all the same thing.

I love the whole idea of experimental mindset/ growth mindset. We are all on our own journey and we must take it a step at a time and not give up, pushing through the hiccups. It's so incredibly easy to just give up when we hit a bump in the road or its so easy to get easily distracted. But consistency is key.

Thanks for this punch of motivation to pull yourself together to carry on with my learnings. I am currently enhancing my English and Polish languages. It is absolutely essential to believe in your own abilities, raising your growth mindset. To illustrate, when I want to give up, I tell myself : "I can do it, and I will do it." As no one will ever do it for me, thus bite the bullet making it happen. Make yourself proud. Honestly, it depends on us how we organize our learnings as well as discipline ourselves to apply it to reality. For me, without routine, it is not going to work out. In addition, learning how to learn properly will boost your energy level, even present you more and more ambitious with time to try a new set of skills for your personal development.

I admire and appreciate your sharing, Zoe. Thank you so much because of your knowledges and experiences. 💚 I've learned English (from B1 to C1) and Chinese (from zero to basic) at the same time since May. And one of the reasons was your story video (which you told that you was born in Chinese countryside and you went through a long journey to achieve your present). And now, after 4 months, learning is one of my daily habits. I am following your study methods too. English is my first priority and Chinese is second. Thus, I learn English for almost 1.5 hours and Chinese around 20-40 minutes per day. It really works, especially in the way that I use both languagues in my daily life (such as I am able to understand your video without subtitles or comment in English without fear). I believed that these results happened because my mindset was changed like your tips in this video. Once again, I am so happy and blessed because you are still learning, creating and sharing. Wish the best for you, Zoe 🥰

This Zoe girl is extremely intelligent, so, just because she can do it doesn't mean everyone can. I studied French and Spanish and I am no where close to her level. I found out the only way I can learn is by working with Spanish and French speaking people. I went to a Canadian French high school and so I was doing OK. I was able to keep up with Spanish because my housekeeper, gardener and pool man all speak Spanish. I also volunteer at a thrift shop in the Spanish speaking area. As for French, I gave up because no chance of speaking with French people where I live. So, in order for you to be fluent, you need to find a job working with Japanese people or pay for places online for some Japanese people to speak with you regularly. Otherwise, it's impossible to keep up. Good luck to you!
@amandam4805 ай бұрын
@@jlouie8835 I believe that I can at least learn to speak it. I am not looking for Fluency. Having contact with native speakers obviously helps. I am part of Japanese Meetup groups, so that is helping I'm glad you learned to speak other languages.

Hi, Zoe. I learned how to read quickly earlier this year using some methods from Jim Kwik and it's definitely changed my life. It's had me wondering just how much further I could take my ability to learn efficiently and this video was great for me to touch base with that goal. I've never heard of "Ultralearning" and would consider reading it but I wanted to know if you've heard of "Limitless: Expanded Edition" from Jim Kwik? That's the meta-learning book I was considering buying. Also, I loved your usage of background music in this video. I think most people don't utilize background music satisfyingly enough -- it typically feels like it's being employed as an afterthought to just fill the silence -- but your picks for the music were so enjoyable. 🤣 So thanks for your hard work there.

Dear people. With Your kind permission, let me devote the following song to the presented beautiful art: A SONG The trail runs among the grasses, winding the foot of the hill, From the side gently revealing the landscape of the valley. The silver mirror of the pond among the fluffy reeds has glimmered, Blinding the hillside for a moment. “Watch out, taking the next step!” Slowly moving along the winding slope… A damp, cool blanket of fog was sliding down from above. The scent of the mountain flowers, the smell of the distant reeds, and the river grasses Filled the chest and spread smoothly over my shape. The fatigue was gone, started feeling the strength in the muscles. A new landscape began to unfold from behind the slope. Below, the crowns of the trees and bushes merged. Breaking through the icy steam from above, The morning sun plays a light show on the surface. The grass and flowers along the pathway are lit up with the bright rays. Slowly moving along the winding slope… A damp, cool blanket of fog was sliding down from above. The scent of the mountain flowers, the smell of the distant reeds, and the river grasses Filled the chest and spread smoothly over my shape. The fatigue was gone, started feeling the strength in the muscles. The large valley was enviable, covered with forests. A streak of light slid across the treetops. And again the shadows of clouds covered the surface. Dark giant silhouettes floated away. The emptiness of the clear air opened my lungs. Inhaling smoothly with the whole chest, reaching the sky by the senses. Slowly moving along the winding slope… A damp, cool blanket of fog was sliding down from above. The scent of the mountain flowers, the smell of the distant reeds, and the river grasses Filled the chest and spread smoothly over my shape. The fatigue was gone, started feeling the strength in my muscles. "It's nice to help your good master. Delivering tools to the mountain. He sometimes scratches my big ears, And likes my tenacity, talking to me. I can't answer him in his language But I can sing a little: “Wǒ ài nǐ,Wǒ ài nǐ,Wǒ ài nǐ“. Thank You for Your attention.
