Juries are very unpredictable! They all have their hidden prejudices and emotional history, as all humans do. Juries are a bit scary from what I've occasionally experienced being on them.

Lawyers certainly can't always predict how a jury will decide. You should only take your injury claim to trial if you are comfortable taking the risk.

What if a sheriff ran into the back of my friends car while they were in the building and I was still in the car. I was a passenger. The sheriff headlights were busted up with the glass on the floor from the headlights I flew around in the car and I had no past back problems however after the accident my back knack and left leg was hurting so bad & still does I got injections but my disc went from 3cm to 6cm so I had to get surgery. My friend was legally parked too. I just did my deposition on video and go to see a expert doctor the other side hired next week do you think they won’t give me any money they haven’t made 1 offer at all yet I’m getting worried because my back still hurts and the cop hit my friends car while she was legally parked he just ran into the back of it and he was not on a high speed chase or any type of emergency call

Nothing is ever guaranteed but from what you explained (obviously I don’t know all the facts) it sounds like (in my opinion) you have a good case. You will need to discuss your legal options throughout your case with your lawyer though as they would obviously be more familiar with your jurisdiction than me. Best of luck to you.

I can't know for certain why the defendant in your case would want a bench trial. I would ask your lawyer if you have them. Maybe they think the judge is defendant friendly and more likely to decide in defendant's favor than a jury of strangers.

The claims adjuster is trying to say that me seeing a neuro-ophthalmologist had nothing to do with my eye injury from a cell phone device that exploded in my face. Her first offer was $5,000

Yes, that's what I think it came down to in that particular case. There were certainly other factors that played a role as well, but I think that was the biggest one.

@Call Tate (A Kentucky Injury Lawyer) it still should get 30k at least right?.... the jury did not like witnesses, I guess. or the disc herniation must have been small, and most ppl get injections for something like that... I would like to know more details of this case.
