This was Ellis first year as a starter. Nielsen only started blitzing him when Grady went down and it’s hard enough to make an impact as a first year starter dealing with a rotation carousel at the dline(due to injuries). I like the trio of Ellis, Landman and Anderson. The defense was making great progress as a unit until Grady got hurt. I think we have a good LB core as long as everyone stays healthy and builds more chemistry. If we can find simply find a consistent edge rusher, that’s when the defense will really shine as a unit.
