Before AEW, I had no idea about the world of New Japan and the entire indie wrestling scene. AEW exposed me to a whole different realm of pro wrestling. AEW made me a "real" wrestling fan! IT IS unreal to have Will Osprey in AEW. Like, it was exciting enough to have them annually on Forbidden Door. But to have Osprey and soon, Okada and perhaps Mone on AEW???? My god... the contests for the few belts will even be tougher now. ALL the top 40 wrestlers just below Samoa Joe --seriously, guys who can all hold the belt. It's gonna be tough. On the women's side, man... breathing down Toni Storm's neck are so many talents. Statlander is ready for the gold. You still have Shida, Thunderosa who was never defeated, really... you have Mariah May, Deonna Purazzo, Athena, ... also Julia Hart who is the TNT champ... then soon Mercedes Mone. It's an embarrassment of riches.

His match with Takeshita reminded me of Bryan Danielson’s first match in WWE, right down to the bruising around the kidney area from a bad bump!
