Read Randy Alcorn's book "Heaven." He has two chapters about animals - one about animals in general and one about pets. He doesn't say dogmatically that your pets will be in Heaven, but he does believe they will be. He bases this on Romans 8: 19 The creation waits in eager expectation for the revelation of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not by its own will, but because of the One who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God. Randy Alcorn believes that creation followed man into decay and destruction when sin entered the world, and it will ride the coat tails of man when he's freed from sin and destruction.

The day after we had to put our old family cat down, I flipped open my Bible and landed exactly on the section in Romans 8:20 and 21. Fwiw, I'm no believer on the sort of mystical, `flop open the Bible and get an answer` nonsense. Regardless, in my grief of loosing our kitty, this section was exactly what I needed to hear. It was encouraging to read that perhaps even our animals are waiting and hoping for the restoration of all things, and through Christ, then through us they shall be set free also from death and decay. It is true that Scripture doesn't give a direct clear answer to this question. However, call it the law of Triumph or Hope, which is a theme through the entirety of Scripture, if we know all things will be made right, then we must trust that our fractured or refracted concept of 'right' has it's origin in the true source of perfect "Rightness" in God. And therefore our pain at the loss of a pet will be answered, and perfectly, in Christ.

I'll remain hopeful; however, I am just not certain we have enough evidence that our pets will be with us. The reference to Isaiah reads a bit differently to me with regards to the dhild leading the fearsome animals which I believe symbolizes innocence leading the powerful through moral purity. This is not the first interpretation of this that was similar. Good stuff though, I love the sensitivity in which you provide hope even though we do not know the answer...yet.

also while the Bible doesn't come right out and say one way or the other, I believe that by context you can deduct that our animals will be in eternity with us. Just a FEW of the examples I can think of right off the top of my head. - Matthew 10:29 kjv "Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and ONE OF THEM shall not fall on the ground without your Father." emphasis added - it seems the "one of them" is implying individuality He knows the EXACT sparrow that falls to the ground. Think of it this way if you have a dog or cat or other pet that you have loved would you want it to be there or not? In this verse it is Saying if God loves that one sparrow enough to realize when it dies HOW MUCH MORE DOES HE LOVE YOU. God's love is so far above our love it's not even comparable - so if you love your pet HOW MUCH MORE does God love it? Ecclesiastes 3:14 kjv "I know that, WHATSOEVER God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him." I know that context is important when reading scriptures but sometimes scriptures context is stand along (For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that WHOSOEVER....) Whatsoever and Whosoever are the same kind of wording they are all inclusive. Whatsoever is Whatsoever. That means that Whatever God created is eternal that is probably why God has no choice but condemn those who reject Him and the devil and his angels to the lake of fire because God's creations are eternal that's why He doesn't annihilate them. So if Whatsoever God doeth is forever then that spark of individuality that every creature that has breath has is just as much God's creation and the physical body is and so will end up being eternal (made new and incorruptible ) a picture of this would be the NEW Heavens and New Earth which mirrors the saints getting a NEW glorified body. Noah's ark - a picture of Christ. Noah and his family were saved from God's judgment by faith and they had to make a choice whether to believe God or not and to go into the ark but God BROUGHT the animals in. Also Pitch was used in the making of the ark - the hebrew word for Pitch is derived from Kaparah which also means atonement. So while the atonement protected Noah and his family it ALSO protected the animals. There were many many "rooms" in the ark and the animals were welcomed there along with Noah and his family. and they went through the judgment of God along with man. If God were going to just annihilate the animals and start back over with new ones for the New earth a clearer picture of that would be to not have them come on the ark at all but die out in the flood and then create NEW animals for the "new" post flood world. Anyway I have many many MANY other pictures that seem to me to indicate that animals will make it into eternity but this is getting long so I will end it here. Finally I realize that the bible does not directly say it but I think the evidence is so strong with all the pictures and hints the bible gives that it is reasonable to believe it will be so.

Dear Chad, Hello ! I had a professor who introduced me to the concept of "Inspired Silence". Sometimes when I think of this question, the thought of "Inspired Silence" come to mind. We know that the awesomeness of God will over shadow what else we find in Heaven, and our focus will be on Him. Perhaps God wants our focus and purpose for going to heaven with be centered on Him and not on others things that may be in heaven. I think that is why God never mentions whether we will recognize our spouse, family and other loved ones in heaven, including our pets. "Inspired Silence" - God does not say we will, but nor does He say we will not. But He does say that we should fix our eyes on Jesus. He is the bread of live that feeds our souls and gives life. But perhaps there may be some toppings on the bread. Be Well, Thanks for your ministry ! Doug Z

Dear@@chadbird1517 Hello ! I recall that it was in Systematic Theology Class and we had engaged in some discussion concerning whether children, when they died, did they go to heaven or not. The Scriptures are a little vague on the subject. Then someone brought up the idea that perhaps it is vague to prevent the idea of advocating that it is better for children to be killed and go to heaven, instead of grow up in Islam and never knowing the saving grace of God (an idea that was considered during the crusades). Dr. Hodges said perhaps this is what we could call "Inspired Silence". If God clearly told us in Scripture that when children die they go to be in the presence of Jesus, Then some of the crusaders may have used that to justify killing Muslim children. But God ever actually says they don't go to be with Jesus either -- "Inspired Silence". I remember it was an interesting discussion. I have come to enjoy your videos ! So you are Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod. A close friend of mine was a close acquaintance of John Warwick Montgomery, and got his JD from Simon Greenleaf School of Law. We used to use his books in our Bible study. Be Well, Doug Z.

I have to say goodbye to my beloved little chihuahua on Friday and I’m crushed. I choose to believe he and my other dear pets will be waiting for me when I get to go be with Jesus. Jesus loves my pets more than I do. He loves his creation! He is good and kind. I never understand people who are so adamant and giddy to tell people their pets will not be part of the new creation. Why is it so important to be right about that? If I’m wrong, I’m wrong. No harm done. What I do know is that God is so good and so loving, there’s no reason for me to not trust his will in all things. And what a joy it will be if he does allow us to reunite with our pets that he gave to us in the first place.

@chadbird15178 ай бұрын
That is the age-old question. The two typical answers are (1) his own family, which would have grown over time. Or (2) there were already other people in existence, created beginning in Genesis 1. In this scenario, Genesis 2 is when God, later in time, creates a special couple, Adam and Eve, from whose family came Cain. According to this interpretation, humanity by the time of Cain would have been numerous and widespread. I am in the #1 exegetical camp.

We have an answer: God is going to redeem the entire creation-Scripture says "the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of [a]corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God." The entire passage: 19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of [a]corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body." I have gone over and over this in my mind. My cat died a week ago, it was horrible. Picture the best cat in the world. Happy, sweet, funny, ridiculously healthy. The best boy. Here's my conclusion, does the Bible explicitly say yes or no? No. It doesn't. But I know our pets are not truly ours but God's. We are but care takers while he has loaned them to us. I know how much I loved my cat and it was A LOT. And God loves him infinitely more. I desire for my cat to go to eternity not for me, but for him. I could live without seeing my cat again, I could. It would be hard and heartbreaking but I could live with that. I want my cat to just not just simply cease to exist, he deserves to live in paradise with God. He deserves to sleep in the sun, chase the butterflies, watch the birds. And I think God would want to spend time with Kitty Kitty too. After all he created him and loved him best. Also I have heard a preacher say, if you need your pet in heaven for heaven to be perfect for you then you are not ready for heaven because our love for God should be enough.

God alone has immortality 1Tim.6v16. Throughout the bible, it talks about the dead being asleep after death. John 11v11-14 Lazarus, Matt.9v24 the girl, 1King2v10 David. And no, it's not just the body that is asleep. There is no scripture that says that. No scripture that says the soul or spirit has immortality.

There is nothing called heaven for pets. A human when causes loss to others for self benefits in terms of money or finance. By selling things either at higher profit. Or a family in need to sell house for urgent money, either a family member died, or was critically ill. And the person when came to know about it found it to be a best time to gain higher profit by offering lesser price. Never caring about the loss and conditions of the family. Such profitable at cost of losses to others are the reasons for a human to get next life of stray dog or pedigree dogs or pets. Depending on the number of families suffered loss during his or her lifetime for personal profits, they will keep getting birth to be pets after completing age. If , only one person was caused loss to for example, then after one pet life, next will be a human life given not heaven. There exists no pet heaven. It is meant to be there if a human in human life living a just life. Worships, doing for well being of other beings. Rest, heaven is not for any other being, or entities like demons for example. Demons, are out into hell fire according to their evil deeds. And demons who complete an age never doing any evil gets a human life to be born into. For God never likes doing wrong against any. There are different heavens for different beings, for human a different heaven. For Angels a different heaven. And then according to different religions different heavens and hell. God has made many things, and He always keeps creating new beings, new worlds which we as humans never will ever know of. For us humans on this earth, our limit is from heaven to earth . For other beings who are on earth we cannot see. Like Angels for example and many more. There are more than we can think of. From holy to evil. And if many kinds. Then are the beings of another world limited to their world which we as humans , even the prophets never knew about. Because it is beyond our world. And those of this world are limited to heaven, earth, hell and different life forms from tree, bird, insect, fish etc. the living beings we see on earth. Including microorganisms. This is the earthly limit. We always will belong to earth, and return to earth. Those who get eternal punishments are the only ones among humans who never will be born as human again.
