Big brands are such not much because of their expertise, but robust procurement and manufacturing, also strong financial backing. Each company mentioned can - if not overthrow the big players - strongly shake up the bike market. Yet they choose to keep it as a side hobby type of project. So let them test the waters to remind us what shallow puddle we are actually in.

This is a phenomenal step for DJI. Where some see "just another bike in the market" no. This is pushing eMTB to where it should have been 3 years ago but the big OEMs not only don't have this experience or coding abilities (software or hardware), but they chose to milk the market through covid. Put it this way: DJI have to pivot. GoPro didn't and they got left in the dust by Insta. Insta is now being surpassed by other companies and cheaper. Auto power selection, hill hold assist - this is the future. DJI is choosing to pivot instead of die on the vine and I for one welcome new entrants, especially when they push the market ahead.

I like the concept of using your phone for any kind of screen on an ebike. I prefer the bitke itself to not have and not need any kind of screen just some basic led for key information like which ride mode you are in and what the battery level is. I don't want a giant screen on my bike all the time that can be damaged nor do I want a tiny screen that needs complex menus. It's easy enough to use a phone mount or some other GPS mount etc. if I need that kind of functionality then pop it off when I don't.
