@MusicFilmArtLover 8 жыл бұрын
With all due respect, I wonder how much power Will Packer has as a producer. He said the Uncle Buck show didn't work out because of Network vs Network and the finances but their acting was also bad. Nina Long was the worse. I'm sure overtime she would have gotten better. I also think the producers weren't able to sell commercial ads which make sense why the two networks did not want to split peanuts. I really hope he doesn't do car wash over. It's a classic movie. It will be so watered down if he make it into a TV sitcom.

We need more black writers also. Yes it's difficult to get our movies made but we still need fresh ideas. Why no black star wars? Or like a black 007? Or something other than getting our stories told on life today or in the past. Let's tell the stories of our imagination and display our own creativity as well

Will Packer please do some better films that you actually are involved in and stop taking production credit from films you didn't actually work on. We are living in a one negro at a time situation that was kind of going on in the early to mid 1980's where the mainstream press like to get one negro, promote them and build them up hard, so the powers that be can subtly say we got our one Black producer, one Black Director, one Black box office star, one Black sitcom star, one Black Talk show host and one Black mainstream music artist no we need more black men and women doing what Will Packer is doing, we need more doing what Shonda Rhimes is doing, we need an entertainment environment that existed like in 1989-1996 where there were multiple Black voices coming from so many directions in entertainment be it music, films, media, etc. When then President Bill Clinton signed into law "Telecommunications Act Of 1996" and with the passing of California's law Prop 209 this all but destroyed voices of dissent in music, films, the press, etc and that why we have very limited quality music films, and barely no mainstream Black press today

How about you put in the work instead of putting all your faith into person. The is wrong with the mind set of black people these days of wanting other people to put in the work without even lifting the figures themselves. I bet you don't even go out and support the movies he put out anyways.

Yeah I did I support N.W.A. film which by the way Mr. Packer has a producer's credit, and I'm thinking in a correct mindset because I want to see more Black people doing what Mr. Packer is doing not just one Black guy and or Black Woman that the mainstream press like to put forth here like Black people in Hollywood is really in control, yes we work a lot in front of the camera, but behind the camera we have long way to go. You can argue with me all you want, but I'm a student of not just film but the business of film
