I think they'll make hadrosaurs worthy. Since evrima has given the ability to attack behind oneself separate from turn radius, cheese tail riding won't exist. Plus in that dev blog the devs did say they want them to throw their weight around. Maia looks to have a shoulder check animation so they're definitely going in that direction. I'd say Maia will be the indicator as to how Para will be so let's wait for that to release first.

I tailrode adolescent stego as adolescent raptor yesterday after we had quite some fight together and both got out of stam :D Tailriding definitely still exist, maybe even more than before. It is just more funny now.

​@@Bleghspreadthat only happened because the stego was out of Stam. If it had Stam it would have swung and hit you. In legacy it didn't matter how much Stam you had, if you had a better turn radius that your opponent you could attack it from behind and they couldn't do anything. Tail riding definitely isn't as common in evrima, it was a main part of fighting in legacy. That's how a raptor could solo kill a rex.

100% agree and I have I hopes let's all not forget Tennontosaurus how was/is always showen to be a punching bag for Deinonychus in media and look at tenno in the isle... It throws Hands with Carnos Ceras and pack of omnis it's the best desiged Herbivore in the isles history(combat attacks ectra) if they are ready to give tenno justice I am sure they can make the others too justice

1:26 Nah Para was just straight up helpless against any mid size Carnivore, free food for a solo Allo, a Cera or even a Carno, anything that can tank a kick to get behind it basically.

I have never played Parasaurolophus in the isle, but every time I saw someone else play it, it brought a smile to my face and respect because it was something new for me, I hope that in this version they will improve it and use its strength and durability.

It's not really a Hadrosaur problem in general, at least not in Evrima, it's a problem for Para specifically, because as we saw in Shant's and Maia's concept arts they didn't really have that issue.

Also last thing about them being pushovers, I think itll be the opposite lol, maia will most likely dominate carnos seeing that a carno will probably injure itself trying a maia’s girth lol

2:05 Acro is a sandbox dino, it was unbalanced towards everything, like if you were smaller than it you were helpless against it, same as Alberto and Theri in legacy, they were never supposed to be in survival but people put them in survival anyway.

I remember pare being good in legacy until Dondi spite nerfed it about 4 times in a row. When combat damage was nerfed, he started taunting people in his streams that they should just run away. Shortly after he started doing that the run speed was nerfed. Then stam usage was nerfed. The last nail in the coffin was when it had bone break taken away. If para can somehow stand tall in evrima, they've already established they will spite nerf it.

It literally seems that Dondi is willing the nerf something into oblivion if it's not his favorite dinosaur/creature. Albertosaurus is his favorite and just look at the concept art for it. It has several abilities despite being a mid-tier and all of them are OP. He doesn't give a shit about balancing.

It shouldn't be 1v1ing apexes. It should be able to survive them. Aka, pushing them, slamming in to them and making time to run away. In no circumstances should a para be able to take down an apex. Especially considering parasaurolophus is almost half the weight of one.

In legacy if I can get behind a rex I can tail ride and kill it, its easier with giga. I actually think its harder to kill mids and lows since you cant hit them with your head butt.

Legacy para's hitbox was actually broken. All of its attack's hitboxes were too high in the air to hit anything the size of an alberto or under. And considering para is defenseless against anything bigger then it, it was practically THE worst animal to grow

I think para gets a severely bad rap, its not bad, its just very difficult to learn. It has a powerful brake-check, making utah, dilo, cera, and carno easy, allo is like, a 50/50 depending on the player, and if you can get entry you can tail-ride rexes and gigas to death, its a pretty fun time

I think para should be able to do 2 things in evrima. 1 throw its weight into an attacking carnivore to knock it into the ground giving para a better chance of escaping. 2 it’s speculated that other herbivores hung around para because para made excellent alarm animals as do to there loud sounds if one para spotted a predator everyone would know about it. So if a para uses an “alarm call” it gives everyone a Stamina and speed boost do to adrenaline made from being aware of the predator in the area.

Theres a mod on para in legacy that buffs it and makes it viable again and its SO FUN Also I feel like you were being honestly a little to lenient to base para in legacy or atleast the condition it was left in. Its headbut cant even hit anything and its damage was mediocre at best. Its bicyle kick cant only 1 shot a utah raptor which is INSANE! And it Kind of hurts a carno? But an allo just shrugs that off in legacy and continues to eat you alive. And most modern estimates say para was much larger than thought. Not 3 tons 😂 it was closer to 4 tons at the Minimum. However 5.5 Tons is current size. However with the buffed para mod on legacy, it gives atleast in my opinion to how a redeemed Para could be like in evrima. Para In the mod can take 5 - 6 bites from a giga and 4 bites from a rex. (This is up from 3 bites from a giga and 2 for a rex) its kicks now are a little stronger than a rex bite. Able to 1 shot a carno. And 2 shot an Allo. Its headbutt again can actually hit things, and does some damage. Able to 4 - 5 shot a carno. (Keep in mind legacy uses a flat damage system so any bite anywhere is the same amount of damage) I think this Para is more than reasonable as a basis for Evrimas Para making it essentially a mini shant.

I'm talking about para's redemption in the isle. That's why I didn't use pot as an example. And para's weight in legacy is 3.6 tons that's why I referred to it as a 3 ton animal. I hope it gets the 6 ton treatment in Evrima.

And I jokingly pointed out that para was in a MUCH WORSE state than what you described being it can't even hit anything. But I agree I hope it gets the 6 ton treatment

To be honest para in legacy WAS strong, if you weren’t fighting an apex and you got off some kicks that is, you like 2 shot allos I think with para. I think evrima para will be better, but to be honest even if it doesnt fight well as long as it CAN run away I honestly dont care, but I bet even if it isnt a “good fighter” it should definitely be able to fight off 2 allos at least. I also myself dont know what predators para had irl or how it defended itself and Ive tried searching it up and cant find much, so idk how people think The Isle did it dirty by not giving it a whole bunch of defensive capabilities when it doesnt really look that dangerous anyways (imo at least, and again I dont know much about paleontology itself at all so plz dont blame me if I think para is fine as long as it can survive even if it cant fight lol)

Yeah it's bicycle kick was no joke to similar sized carnivores. But my issue with para wasn't that it couldn't fight, it's that it couldn't run away either.

Path of titans did there hadrosaurs pretty good and well balanced being able to run away from dinos way stronger than them and being able to defend them self's from dinos that can catch up to them but because of the stupid community there changing it to how media depicts them as which is a defenseless meat bag

Quite unfortunate that the carnivore meat riders think not being able to take down a hadrosaur that is 10 times larger than them is "unfair"
