Will Prismatic Evolutions Be Better Than Surging Sparks?!

What will make this set highly sought after more than surging sparks will be the difficulty of pull rates, the illustration rares, and eevee and it's evolutions. I only theorize that because there are currently no booster boxes to buy, it'll be harder to pull key cards. Just my two cents. 👍

I think surging sparks will be one hell of a set to have, I really do. The cards are incredible. Prismatic is printed until september 2025 so I feel like the hype will die down

just went to a pre release event. the build and battle boxes i opened were absolutely loaded with hits. pulled latios AR ceruledge and feebas along with the gold night stretcher, not to mention full arts and ex's. this set is very good IMO but prismatic will be one of the best sets ever created. dont sleep on new S&V Sets the hobby is changing and so did msrp. 90$ boxes will only happen to trash sets now. 110 is the new 90 and even these prices wont last long. happy collecting yall!!!

Some truth to that. People didn't expect for pokemon to announced before SS even came out Also SS is an example of perfect timing. Sooo much went into that set getting hyped up. It was NOT one card, influencer, or aspects

The Pokemon Center does not have a reputation of releasing these in waves. Maybe before the PC ETB was limited they did. But There might be one small restock after a few weeks or months but it will only last a few minutes just like what happened with 151.

My speculation is that Pokémon center has a cap on pre orders so they’re able to process accordingly and efficiently…so then product becomes unavailable/sold out. Once they pump those out, they make it available again 🧐 Audio quality is better btw

S&V is unlike any other era. Instead of sets outshining each other they actually compliment each other. I can see the eevee from Twilight going up because people are going to want it with the Etb promo from prismatic. Same with obsidian flames promo and stellar crown bulba and squirtle.

Its that SF hat for me. Go Niners. I think Prizmatic Evolutions will be a more hyped set and I think 4 of the 32 SIR and going to be in the surprise box and maybe 2 more, one in the SPC and one in the figure box. That leaves 26 to be pulled from packs which is nuts. Paldea Evolved and Paradox Rift have the most with 15. Surging sparks only has 10 SIR. Evolving skies only had 17 Alt Arts. This set is definitely going to surpass Surging Sparks no problem. I count 27 EX cards so is it possible they make a SIR of every EX and 5 trainers? Cant wait.

Mic sounds better but the overall volume is still a little quiet. If you bumped up your audio 4 to 5 db before uploading, people wouldn’t have to turn their volume up about 2 notches for it to be the same level as most other videos 🤘

151 didn’t get a restock. if these go back up they will sell out asap. im glad i got 2 cases and 2 loose ones yesterday. and stellar crown never sold out at all i dont recall it being sold out. i’m on pc daily for restocks. stellar crown and twilight masquerade never sold out at all.

Prismatic Evolution is mostly reprints with roughly 30 new cards. It will have Master Ball Reverse Holo chases, but it really depends on what the English pull rates are and which cards have it. The Eeveelutions look like they've been removed for Blackstar promos so they presumably won't be in the set and therefore no Master Ball chase.

This means because they arent standard in the set, they wont have reserve holos. The ex versions are still in the set, but ex's dont typically get reverse holos.

The sad reality is that most people don't really care about the cards or the sets they just follow the hype train. Watching the shift yesterday in real time was incredible from listening to a PK live from Thursday night saying Surging is God to the "Emergency live" yesterday that Prismatic is the God of all Gods. So many people commenting wishing they could cancel Surging Sparks pre orders to bank up for Prismatic. I always knew the hype for Surging was over inflated wait till the prices crash on release when no one wants to buy cases on cases to save for Prismatic. A lot of people skipped Twilight at $90 a box and Stellar Crown because of the Rocket set already.

Im one of the few people who was able to order a full case of 4 prismatic evolutions PC ETBs 😎 Pokemon Center will probably keep all future ETB restocks to a limit of 2. I'll let everyone tear through all the prismatic evolutions boxes and wait a couple years then sell my case for several thousand

Define overhype? It’s not even out yet and its still a good set, even if PE is more desirable. Most importantly Surging Sparks has booster boxes, while Prismatic Evolution never will. Most investors want sealed BB, as that’s where most of the collectibility and value lies. SS will in my opinion still be a top 3 SV era set. Idk, that’s my opinion and I respect your decision with collecting. Now, don’t get me wrong I pre-ordered PE ETB’s and the binder collection. It’s hopefully going to be one of the most valuable SV sets.

To me, overhyped is a set bucking the trend and selling out even on the pokemon center before it even releases. I also think the set, while good, is not the type of set to push that type of movement in a market. It is not evolving skies, but it is acting like it. I am an investor/collector. I am more of an investor, so I know what you mean when you say BBs are the gold standard. I agree. However, I think prismatic evolutions will be exactly like 151. Extremely popular, and it doesn’t matter if the set has BBs. People love eevee evolutions. An EEVEE-focused set doesn’t even need hype. People love eevee and its evolutions, whereas they don’t love pokemon like alolan exeggutor. I think surging sparks will stagnate a lot more than prismatic evolutions. Other than 151, prismatic evolutions will be the set of this generation. This generation is really bucking the trend previous generations have set for specialty sets. Think pokemon finally figured them out. Also, don’t underestimate pokemon center ETBs. By some metrics, they are outperforming BBs
