And I can tell you that it is really hard for censorship to unban this novel. I have seen a lot of my favorite books disappeared and never come back again. Fang Yuan is a hypocrite, i dont mind the evil stuff toooo much but I really dislike the constant self-delusion / self-hypnosis BS inner monologue he does everytime he does something insane. Almost like he has to convince himself each time that he's doing something right but if he truly thought so he wouldn't have to. To me it seemed like he didn't really want to go about the evil route but he convinces himself that there is no other way and in the process it feels like he's trying to convince me and i dont subscribe to that ideology so its just really annoying. Maybe the author really is trying to convince the reader rather than as an expression of his inner turmoil however that is how it came off to me. I stopped after he killed the hunter family. that act went against his proclaimed character i,e being pragmatic and efficient. there was nothing efficient or pragmatic about that interaction rather it seemed incredibly short-sighted and rash. not at all what you would expect from a true schemer.

@@redx12ae33 to me it felt more like the author was trying to convey Fang Yuan's personality to the readers trough his inner monologue. And regarding the hunter family he killed - I don't quite remember which one you mean. But in case you mean the one from which he stole a map of the sorrounding mountains' hunting spots I gotta agree it was shortsighted on his part. But in the end they were just mortals anyways so there's nothing much that could have happened to him due to that rash decision. Normally I'd reccomend giving it another shot since there is so much more to see beyond the Gu Yue village Arc but I can see the book doesn't suit your taste. For me it was a 10/10 though I don't remember the early parts well anymore.

true so the story could almost feel nerfed if it gets unbanned. like the author could feel pressure to stay within certain guidelines, making it come out rather poor.
