Uncle Phil’s character was so needed for Will. That heartbreaking episode when Will’s biological dad left him & Uncle Phil was left to console Will helps this particular scene to be so beautifully done. Will had a real father through Uncle Phil. He needed to know that Uncle Phil was truly proud of him❤️❤️❤️

Phil needed Will too. Carlton emulated Phil and will be successful but Will learned every lesson Phil taught. Success is nothing if you have nobody to pass the knowledge to. I loved their relationship.

Someone once said that they want a “sequel” of fresh prince. Where Will buys the house and raises his own family and a nephew/niece comes to live with him just like he did. A single season where the remaining cast comes in for cameos and episodes and the it ends with them visiting Phil’s grave and a touchy moment
@BHRamsay Жыл бұрын
Bel-Air was pretty good, Fresh Prince as a drama works surprisingly well , for me at least.
@deathmastersful Жыл бұрын
@@BHRamsay Bel-Air was their attempt to reboot they tried to nostalgia and woke commentary to get high praise. To me it felt way too preachy and like every modern person of color drama. Fresh Prince was a comedy drama that didn't take itself too seriously while talking about major issues and problems and making everyone feel inclusive. 21st century wokeness is fucking horrible

When i was a kid watching this, no one cared that they were Black. It was just great show about great family, regardless of skin color. It's a shame that many great shows like these are being forgotten because studios need to shove their philosophy that they are doing something groundbreaking. Shows like this broke the ground long time ago.

@@Mithguar The fact that you just dismissed the message OP was pointing out is exactly what she’s talking about. Stop acting like we’re all the same & treated the same bc we’re not.
