Wow! I’m incredibly grateful and honored, Will, that you are including Return to Edan during the precious time when you’re able to read for pleasure. You are correct about Roland being from Charlemagne’s era - his story is reminiscent of the Spartans at Thermopylae. I hope you enjoy all your reads during your time off!

Of course, Return to Edan is top of that priority list! Definitely looking forward to diving into Song of Roland as well. Thanks for watching, and happy reading! Will

«Edan», «Heart of Darkness» & «Roland», huzzah! My March TBR: Currently reading: «Brother Red» by Adrian Selby (Grimdark Fantasy, standalone «midquel» to «Snakewood» & «The Winter Road», had planned to do it last year, but had to push it back) «Judas Blossom» by Stephen Aryan (Fantasy inspired by the Mongol Conquest of Persia, same as «Brother Red» pushed over from last year) I will also start on the «City of Victory» Trilogy by Adrian Goldsworthy (Historical Military Fiction set during Emperor Trajan’s Campaigns) and the «Lyonesse» Trilogy by Jack Vance ((Pre-)Arthurian Fantasy). I plan to read one book each of the two trilogies over the Spring Months: The first books in March, the second books in April and the final books in May. My Spring TBR/March MBR: «After Rome» by Morgan Llywelyn (Historial Fiction set after the Roman Empire’s Withdrawal from Britain) «Ash: A Secret History» by Mary Gentle (Alt-Historical Military Fiction inspired by the Mercenary Wars of the Renaissance) «Kings of the Wyld» by Nicholas Eames (Fantasy Humor) Might also get my hands on «Memory, Sorrow & Thorn»,«Sun Eater» and/or the «Second Apocalypse» series by R. Scott Bakker later this Spring, but more likely the Summer! Cheers, Will!

Thanks for the video, Will. I have read Watchmen. It is a thought-provoking deconstruction on the superhero genre. It's a good read, but I wouldn't call it a fun read. Stay safe, everyone, and happy reading.

I like how you and British Ed have the little cutouts of yourselves in the corners of each others' videos. I feel your pain about reading for pleasure while you're in college. I was a lit major too, and when you're taking classes like "Nineteenth Century American Fiction" it's pretty hard to find time for reading something of your choice. Thanks for giving Dr. F some love; I wish more people would pick up Edan. He deserves the accolades and then some. I love graphic novels but I didn't really enjoy Watchmen that much. I know people love it; it just wasn't for me.

The Wolf Den series sounds so good! I just started Assassin's Apprentice and I plan on taking my time with that, and then later in the month I want to read the first Murderbot book, which I just picked up the other day. And I also want to get back to the Edan trilogy as well!

It is! One of those rare books that I think should be picked up by most readers, even if it is completely different to their usual taste. Realm of the Elderlings may take a little while, but for me it was more than worth it! The first two instalments in the Edan trilogy are wonderful, and I'm sure I will love the finale as well. Thanks so much for watching, and happy reading :). Will

What a list! Can't wait to jump into both Children of Gods and Fighting Men and Empire of the Damned! Gotta Carch up with the Suneater Saga first though. Interesting you haven't heard a lot about Watchmen. You are going to absolutely love it. It's something entirely it's own. You probably won't read another comic like it! Excited to see your thoughts! Best of luck at Uni!

Hope you love Children of Gods and Fighting Men as much as we did :). Really looking forward to reading Watchmen, especially after going through these comments. Seems like I just haven't been paying attention when people have discussed it! Thanks so much, and happy reading! Will

Currently working through Lonesome Dove along with a bunch of others on your discord - will be getting to Empire of the Damned this month too, if all goes according to plan! I also managed to pick up a copy of Mayflies (based on your recommendation) from the sale shelf at my local library- thinking it will make a good palate cleanser between some of the big books!

Ed constantly says I need to read Lonesome Dove.... I will at some point. Hope you enjoy that and Empire of the Damned. Hah, plans have a way of going awry... Mayflies is easy to breeze through. An emotional read, but one you can fly through. Perfect in-between those tomes, exactly as you said. Thanks so much for watching, and happy reading :). Will

Though I'm only a quarter(ish?) of the way through Lonesome Dove so far - I cannot imagine you not enjoying it! To be fair though, it might be one to save for when you have a bit more 'free' reading time - the thing is an absolute doorstop!

Not sure if any of you have read it yet, but I can highly recommend The Green Bone Saga by Fonda Lee. Book 1 is a little weaker but book 2 and 3 are amazing!
