That's been self-evident for a very, very long time now. Lyon has an over inflated opinion of himself, and the media et al keep lying to him how intelligent, and awesome he is as a coach and media personality. Lyon is ordinary as a coach and ordinary as a media personality and ordinary as a thinker. Lyon needs to downsize his ego and take a serious reality check on who he is based on the evidence of the past 17 years of his coaching. Lyon was an ordinary AFL player too, I mean he was good at tackling and bumping, wow.

You need 6 to 8 'A' graders to be successful in AFL. It is the recruitment department that is crucial. A coach is the cherry on top of the icing of a premiership cake. Until St. Kilda gets this, it will remain in the doldrums.

Max King or Max Inferior? It's looking like the latter, Max is a sub standard AFL player and has been for 5 or 6 years now. The Saints will defend him, but who is going to replace Max if they get rid of him? A better club could still make something out of Max, somewhere he's the second or third forward. Collingwood might be a good fit for him, who knows.

If Port wasnt gifted on a silver spoon 2 wins by St Kilda and Hawthorne they would be dn with west cost. St kilda thru sheer incompetence and hawthorne just inexperience. Saints got murdered after their late 2010's premiership tilt fell short. When they fell off the cliff, all the draft picks went to GWS for those years and to a lesser extent GC. St Kilda still hasn't recovered from that.

They should never have fired ratten in the first place. Marc Murphy spoke about those years with a heavy heart in a podcast, he stated Mick was obviously a great coach, but was unwilling to look at himself as an issue at the club.

Morris was reporting on bulldogs player movements or something before the round 1 game with Melbourne 2 years ago and Morris is a dees supporter so bevo didn't like that.
