I was coughed on very well as a child, but it seems that these younger people don't understand, or were never educated, in how to cough in people's faces correctly because I've never had the same expectorie sensation in a long, long, time. Our forefathers truly knew how to cough in the face of others. It seems these younger folk just don't appreciate what our forefathers had to fight and cough for. SMH.

I mean, "talent" goes a long way, as does having a severely depressed parental figure who you're always trying to cheer up in your youth, clinging to humor as a method to liven up even the most dismal and bleak outlook on life, to be sure they remember to make you both dinner before collapsing into their bed to waste away the evening, numb to the world and everything in it, yourself included. A developed intellect and educational breadth of knowledge encompassing a broad range of topics to reference, as well as a quick wit, because you can't "yes and" effectively - or play characters of any depth or nuance - if you don't have a library of resources and knowledge upon which to draw. But sure. Can't teach it. Not influenced by environmental factors at all.

It used to be a historical joke. Because chinese rail workers were needed for some of the most inhumane and dangerous jobs that helped push America west from the east. I mean, crazy levels of danger. Like, going into mines with dynamite. Yaknow... to blow it up clear a path for construction. I will leave out the context of that. So yeah, there were just these random jokes about how they gave them these lavish gifts, promises and 'whores' to keep them motivated. Not much different than S-Bombers in the middle east...

There has not been a comedy show since MadTV on television that can top MadTV and there hasn't been a cast on any comedy show since MadTV that can top the cast of MadTV! Mad tv was great because the skit ended when it needed to. SNL has too much time to fill, so the sketch ends up awkwardly floundering minutes beyond the punchline.

That's because MadTv was actually well written with a beginning-middle-end and actual punchlines, had a phenomenal cast of talented comedians (Deborah Wilson is an outstanding vocalist and voice actor), and was filmed in advance. Meaning they could do multiple takes and to post-editing. Which means we, the audience, got the cream of the crop every Saturday night with MadTv

I wasn't a huge fan of MadTV, but they had some gems you never could have seen on SNL. There are some sketches like the the iRaq which were extremely subversive during the early part of the War in Iraq. Sasso and McDonald were par with most great SNL performers in talent.
