I continue my solo narrowboat adventure, cruising downstream on the Llangollen canal and make it to the wonderful town of Ellesmere to tackle some more DIY projects that I have been putting off - The joys of living aboard a boat - I meet with the fuel van to stock on up diesel and coal, have a little towpath gathering and meet up with a fellow youtube vlogger.

Possible way to preheat your hot water. Coil a 10mm copper pipe around your coal fire chimney and plumb it into your hot water cylinder using your friendly plumber. Hope that will be of use to you.

I get round the mud by leaving a dressing gown at the back door so I can strip my muddy trousers off and put my dressing gown on. That way the mud stays by the door and I get nice clean floors.

Good Nz morning again Heidi. Just a heads-up. As a previous liveaboard, of the saltwater kind, Capt Morgan was treated with respect. By respect, I mean that we bought our rum on board the host/skipper boat, then, he/she would open it, balance it between thumb and finger, look at us and say those magic words, "are we going for broke.?"
