It’s so disappointing how hard they seemed to try to make her not work for geo teams. Geo as an element has been in the dumpster for so long now and every new geo character we get our hopes up that they might fix it, only for the new character to be actively anti synergistic with other geo characters. Edit: to clarify a bit, obviously Xilonen will still function in some geo teams and provide relevant buffs, but the design of her buffs is clearly meant to disincentivize mono geo teams because you lose significant buffs from her kit in exchange for more self-damage that she doesn’t really care about.

Kazuha being "powercrept" is also not a thing because you can play both characters. Also for people who already have kazuha and would replace them with xilonen its not enough of a worthwile upgrade to pay 180 pulls + whatever many for signature for when that could get them mavuika or some other support to assist kazuha.

There's a few things missing here, Kazuha's personal damage is great, especially in AoE it's miles better than Xilonen if you don't use her onfield ( which you probably won't in most teams) Kazuha enables elemental reactions based teams like Soup, Salad, etc Kazuha's ult can also be used as an alternative and/or extra elemental application for your dps

Another team she enables is a Freeze Hypercarry setup. Cryo DPS + Shenhe + Xilonen + Furina. Before it was really hard to slot Shenhe into Furina teams (since the best healer option was Charlotte for Freeze) but Xilonen being able to easily buff Cryo damage + fill the healer role + not mess with reactions due to her low Geo application really helps the team. I can see her really helping out characters like Ayaka who have fallen off.

C1 for Natlan characters seems to be to be able to use them effectively outside of Natlan aside from the quick swap. Which I hope Pyro Traveler allows, or Mavuika or Xbalanque or maybe story. That being said 0.5 IR isn't bad. It's best when multiplied with another. It would make Cyno have 0.25 IR which is incredible. A Quickbloom team with Cyno, Xilonen, Xingqiu, and a Dendro means he has 0.075 IR. Which is basically hyper armor at that point. It's 13.3~6 times more effective than nothing for a melee character. It's just yet another thing she buffs. Not like Kazuha gives IR whatsoever. Or heals.

Ppl tend to forget that Xilonen can also trigger 2 Nightsoul Bursts in a row due to her passive (it has independent CD from the default NB) That basically means, Natlan DPSs that gain a lot of bonus multipliers (like Mua Burst) after triggering NB will have that buff more frequently rather than a good addition but often unreliable source of buff. Pulling Xilonen basically means that the future Natlan DPSs that have crystallizable elements will have an exclusive benefit from her being in the team.

6:45 if that 2000% def scaling wasn't an error, she could be a good plunge DPS. Sadly, the real scaling is 20 times lower than that. Most of the time I use Kazuha to apply elements without another off-fielder, by swirling with his Ult. At least in that niche he is safe.

an importan thing to mention i think is the ease of use of xilonen, she can double res shred without having to do double swirl shenanigans and as her buffs are longer you can be more relaxed doing your rotations. Also exploration which is important to some players

i feel bad that not alot of people mention c2 xilonen with raiden. she makes raiden burst a 12 second cd which is insane, makes hyper carry teams viable in marathon content, and the free energy on top makes it so you almost always have her burst charged too

25:40 - I think it's also very much worth mentioning XQ furina Xilonen team comp for hutao. You are sacrificing hutao's hp gimmick, and yelan's personal damage. But in return you get furina's personal damage which is not all that bad, and a more sizable dmg% for your hutao. Both teams might preform very similarly, but it's worth mentioning it as an option.

Honestly that was my theory for one of her better teams, I was going to try Chiori Xiangling Furina with Xilonen as the driver. I could also see Xilonen on Archaic Petra as an on-fielder with Kachina on Cinder City off-field.

I get the impression that Xilonen is a great pick for accounts that have fewer team options compared to a veteran account with much more characters to choose from. I think she'll be more useful for my 2 year old F2P account, but perhaps less so for my main account that I've been playing since launch.

xilonen C2 actually fixes the 2 second problem of sara's burst not the same as raiden's burst on raiden hyper. So i can just spam burst forever.

Do keep that in mind because her aggrevate rotation may just be the same as with Kazuha, which means only the first rotation you can give the most out of that team. Yes, res shred will be consistent, but not sure about that dmg buff on single target case.

Im pulling her and likely gonna make her a hyper Raiden buffer. My HuXiao is happy with Furina and Xianyun as it is, that team still dumpsters everything. So Xilonen becomes my go to unit to work around for the 2nd side, and for now that'll be Raiden. I might have to get her c2 eventually cuz reducing Raiden cooldown could be massive, and im sure somewhere ill find a use for her other buffs. Preferably cryo on Columbina someday. her weapon looks ok, but 25pct dmg bonus isnt really that that huge, and its especially meh if she's healing for ur Furina. Outside of Furina her wpn seems to be more substantial for sure.

Another thing to add is that despite not getting res shred on non-swirlable elements, if you have an outside elemental infusion on xilonene then you can get the dmg bonus for other elements. For example if you are playing a burn team with xilonen nahida C6 Bennett Emilie then the elemental infusion from bennet will allow xilonen to proc burning which will give dmg bonus to nahida and emilie.

Remember that %res shred doesn't mean +%dmg. If the enemy has 0% res to a certain element, every %res shred will be halved. For example, if enemy has 10% pyro resistance and you will shred it by 20%, an enemy will have -5% pyro resistance. This means you will deal +15% more damage (not +20%.)

Would make her kind of potato in mono geo teams or Navia plunge as a support. She can on-field in mono geo to maintain the shred, but as stated, her on-field capabilities are very meh.

This. Every video about her people contradict themselves it seems. They say geo shred happens always when she's in her skill (then for 15 seconds after), but then when talking about c2 they say it lets her have 2 geo teammates. Why? The only difference between c0 and c2 should be the additional 50% geo damage buff and then continuous geo shred without swapping in and using her skill right? So the only change between having 2 swirlable element teammates and not is that she can't shred other element resistance in mono geo, and she doesn't heal in mono geo

It's already better to use atk%/hp% with just furina in most cases, so with kazuha+Xilonen it's almost guaranteed that atk/hp will be better

It heavily depends on multiple factors, which you didn’t include. such as substat, overall stat volume, weapon, constellations, team comp, gameplay, etc. there’s a reason why TCer always tell people to use Optimizer in the first place. You are under the assumption that Furina can max her fanfare stack right away. the reality is that, no, you won’t. so the best you can get out of Furina is around 40-50% DMG on average, not 75%. meanings the gap between DMG% Goblet and other Goblet will even out anyway unless there’s a huge disparity in substats.

What’s weird is that’s the direct contact plunge and not low/high. Maybe it’s a typo, or else it would make for a really funny speedrun where Xilonen’s stomp must hit the enemy directly (the hitboxes must contact before Xilonen hits the ground) to hit harder than Navia with 6 bullets.

@@yoshi_crafter5915 Basically she can’t shred geo res if there’s a third party member that is geo when she’s c0, since that won’t allow her to activate her source samplers. At c2 you can bypass that restriction. To understand better, you’ll have to look at her skill’s and ascension 1’s description.
