So we keeping it 💯right! Ok, here it goes,….the reason is the parenting not culturally not presenting the so called old music to the kids plus the radio not playing it to be fair. So, that’s the truth. Us growing up we knew bout the ol’ music and movies and art and respected it and appreciated it 💯! …for example: Bruce Lee movies hit harder in the 80s than when it came out in the early 70s. Another example: Rocky I as well,…..Star Wars, etc, etc,etc,…..plus the older classics as well from the 50s, 60s, you dig! We the younger crowd younger generation appreciated the arts, movies, music, etc,….not these kids nowadays you know,….they ALREADY KNOW EVERYTHING YOU DIG!

The issue is the Hip Hop Rap scene is gaining years. You don't see The older rock bands going to reach for the new teen audience, they have established platforms and venues that cater to them and their generation. Their fans aren't gone and neither are Meth and Reds. The genre has aged to the point now where we have to stop only focusing on the youth and start establishing new sections for the previous generations.

I've grown up with fresh prince and Martin in the 90s...but when he said bad boys came out 30 years ago I was like...SHIT.....IM 30🤯😳 I remember as a kid not being able to watch bad boys 1 because it was rated R. Back when parents had more of a lock on what kids watched. Back when Internet wasn't barely a thing back then and mostly just used for the military and to send emails...FLOPPY DISKS....Made me feel old almost 😅

There were a few artists whi had that type of impact on old and younger. Michael Jackson and Prince. Especially Michael Jackson. If he were still alive. He'd still that kind of affect

I think that depends on how one comes up, though. Hip Hop head (dope shit, not the wack shit out today), but I was raised on the old school. Maze, EWF, Aretha, James Brown, J5, BB King and Little Milton. I can go on for hours. Been to concerts of the Gap Band, Morris Day and Time, AND Bruno Mars alike. But mom and pops raised me on the old school. Not only does that keep you open minded and broaden your horizons, but it teaches your history to you and how far we've come. I don't think that same lesson is being applied like it used to, hence the gap.

I just think older act should reproduce their tracks to modern times . Just like old film is redigitized , colorized into high definition. Older hip hop tracks need to be remixed with 808s
