Hello amazing setup! Quick question, Did you have to ground the panels and have proper conduits? Are they setup in series?

Random question: How do you run your PV cables to your delta pro?

Hey there i a run a solar MC4 10 AWG cable from the panels to a MC4 to xt30 cable.

@@williamsung I meant like do they go through a window/door/hole cut into wall etc?

How many solar panels do you have connected to each one? Could I run my 4 ton ac unit on and off all day with 5600 watt solar and one battery or would ac drain battery and solar wouldn’t be able to keep up?
@williamsungАй бұрын
@@lukem5962 if you could find solar panels to spec out the 5600 I think you could keep the ac running on battery when suns out you’d need maybe 4-5 batteries to keep it on at night I think a 4 ton uses about 3-4 kWh and the blower is an additional 3-500. Depending on how hot and how efficient your line so those are some things to consider.

@@williamsungI could just have one DPU plus 5600 solar and 4 ton should run all day off solar alone?

What are the normal startup watts?
@TheDutchisGaming3 ай бұрын
Since the terminology is all over the place. Does it use 5kWh (amount of energy) to boot up? Or does it need 5kW (energy used per second j/s) just to run?
@jackwilson98293 ай бұрын
Electrician here, does not need 5kwh to start, electric motors can use up to 4x rated current to start up but its only for a few seconds at most. Also this is a split system so the compressor wouldnt be using all 5kw probably more like 2.5-3.5kw which would give a max startup load of 14kw. Side note, the array is unlikely to be able to output what which would just mean the motor would start abit slower

So the power draw for boot up was around 40 amps at the 240 (I do have a soft start) so the initial draw was probably in the the 8-9kw range and drew a constant 4-5kw with the blower running as well. Inverters and battery powered the inrush

Going the mini split route if mine craps out

I am also strongly considering doing the same. the ducting going all over the attic and still not having good ventilation is nuts to me. And so expensive to maintain😅

So it weighs 5000kg's? Who would have thought 🙈

How many do you have because it says it will only do a 3 ton air conditioner if you have one of them so you must have two of them
@williamsungАй бұрын
@@dannypierce1426 yes and it will depend on the start up amps which you can lower by using a soft start and with it you can start up even some 4ton acs with one☺️
