You are an amazing, talented, hard working man. We don’t have many young men who know how to do things like this anymore. If things don’t work you don’t fix them you just buy a new one. You two are such an inspiration and I hope there are many young people watching gaining courage to go out and build homesteads with there families. This was a great video. I loved watching you clean, take apart, check and put the tractor 🚜 back together piece by piece. See you next time.

I thought I said it, I think the year is 1990 but the tractor has no paperwork so can't confirm it! It could be older! They started this model in 1970s till 1996 or 1994! So could be any of those years! Plus the engine isn't original it's swapped from another tractor so hard to tell the age of that or the hours it has run! ❤😊
@winnieskees96223 жыл бұрын
@@DoBeDiff ~ ~ thank you so much for the info! So much history there! And of course the original engine has been changed! Seems strange that it couldn’t have been fixed instead of changing it out completely. My husband in the mid 1980’s bought an old Ford Tractor from the 1950’s. We did SO much work w that tractor!! Then at Christmas time, hooked a trailer up to it, strung Christmas lights around, bought some hay bales and went around various neighborhoods singing Christmas carols! It was a great tractor!! Rewatch the video and notice his shelf of tractor parts. He has been taught how to do repair. They line up the parts what comes off goes into the line. To put it back together you have some order. My nephew taught me this after I asked him the same question. My nephew was taught by my father doing small engine repair on lawn mowers in the backyard on a wooden picnic table. My father was retired and grandson Andy lived near to him and had a desire to learn. What a Blessing. My father brought home his first car, the engine in a wheel barrel. My father was born in 1917 into a family of nine. A man of many talents, reminds me of Deivids. You have a job, now how do you tackle it. If you don’t have the knowledge you learn…..read, ask question, do the job, ask more question, find the answers. Learning on the job.

A great start for your tractor recovery and rebuild. Now that it at least runs, the fault-finding can commence. It offers great promise of progress. Items like seals are vital for reliable operation, but the tractor was intended for use where resources might not be abundant, so I am sure that you will sort out its issues. There is no need for computer analysis, a keen ear and observant eyes should see you achieve progress. Skill and enthusiasm is helping the two of you achieve great results, turning your hands to all the tasks that the place needs. I think that there is much more fun and progress is still to come, remember, the two of you must always make time for fun and relaxation. It makes the hard work feel much easier, but always work safely.
