Sports betting will destroy lives and change the way we view sports forever, but maybe I'm wrong. So I tried it to prove myself wrong
WB Productions will feature video essays, documentaries, explainers, and infotainment on a variety of subjects.

I have been a life long Cleveland Browns fan. I watch the game every weekend and that’s about my extent other than catching the occasional Monday or Thursday night game if it’s on. I actually had to stop playing fantasy football (this was before the fan duel and all that) because it was changing how I viewed the games. Now every Sunday I sit down for 3 hours and have an emotional journey and sometimes you win and sometimes you spend the rest of your Sunday depressed. But the stakes are so low. I’d love my team to win every game but the wins are only as good as they are cuz of all the losses before them. Once you add betting or fantasy you all of a sudden aren’t using sports as a spectator and are adding your own stakes and now you have more to lose than a few hours of your day. I love watching football and since stopping betting (causally with coworkers very low stakes) and doing fantasy I’ve actually fallen more in love with the games

Great video man you really captured the highs, and lows of sports betting. It’s a strange feeling to win money, and all you can think about is the money that you missed out on, but that is gambling in its purest form. People focus on the big losses, but not on how a perfectly normal person starts on that journey of loss.

Why hold your microphone when it has a clip for your shirt? Is that not the intended use of the built-in clip? How is it supposed to be used?

Wow I did not even realize I was watching something of this caliber made by a creator with as few subscribers as you! No offense, Very good points and was a great listen 👍🏼 subscribed. thanks for the content. Also your point is correct. Sure people are gonna bet anyways blah blah. But it ruins the fun, integrity, and main things of the sport. Just like watching p*** ruins s** gambling on sports ruins sports. Only fools will play games of chance any way and find some sort of way to defend it. I don’t bet and make it a point not to. I find real ways to make real money. I don’t judge, but my kids aren’t gonna see their dad pulling his hairs out because the Super Bowl team I wanted to win didn’t!

I'm from Europe, betting is fully legal here. I know how gambling can ruin your life, I don't like it. But banning it will only promote the mafia, reduce government revenue, and won't restrict betting much. Just like drugs.

If you betting to win big, then it hurts. I usually drop 50$ before March madness and bet a few 2$ here and there for games I wanna watch

Do you also think thinks like marijuana, alcohol, and cigarettes should be illegal? Where do we draw the line and let adults do what they want vs regulating what people can do?

Hey, great video! You're a good presenter! You did a great job of showing how people get addicted (poor people). Edit: I meant to show empathy with that last sentence! I didn't mean actual "poor people"!

I personally don’t gamble, but you’re viewing this way too black and white. You even say you have a huge personal bias against gambling. It’s not an all or nothing deal where there can either be no gambling or everything is a hopeless gambling addict. Some forms of gambling should be allowed to adults, sports included. It’s not illegal to be irresponsible with money. Of course, protections should be placed to prevent ads to minors, etc, but outright bans just create black markets.

7:41 “people love to gamble, I don’t think it should be illegal outright, but there needs to be heavy regulation on this. It shouldn’t be legal to sit on your couch and place bets at 4 in the morning” I don’t think I said it was all or nothing? I could have specified it more as my issue with betting through iPhone apps I suppose and how wide spread this will be.

Why does time of day have anything to do with it ? I work at 4 in the morning some people stay up and bet at 4 in the morning.... also sports betting has been around for 100 years with mlb betting being huge betting increases sports viewership. and you have no grasp on what sports betting is and you view is too cynical you admit youbhave a bias yet to refuse to realize how the bias effects your opinion. ... sports betting can be addictive but addictive doesn't = illegal, caffeine is extremely illegal and a 10 year old can buy a coke at 4 in the morning legally if he's at a store .... and just bc its addictive doesnt mean everyone will get addicted or risk more then they can afford to lose people lose its on the individual to be safe with their money and it shouldn't be regulated by government thats a wild take. .. I've personally bet every day for a year then took 6 months off then bet once then stop and I've never lost a single dime ev @WillBarker

@@WillBarkersomething isn't made legal or illegal based on if it's addictive and it isn't regulated based on that either. 4am is a perfectly good time to place a bet.. some people wake up for work at 2 am my man... stay classy tho brother this video ain't it and your lack of sports knowledge and frankly betting knowledge makes it very commendable that you where able to construct a 25 min video based on the topic.
