I really doubt that. Australian pitches are more spiced up now especially in the last 3 years. I doubt if anyone would score more than 1 100 unless a really flat wicket is dished out. 1 century a few 50s are more realistic. This could be a series dominated by fast bowlers and low scores on cards.

In 2018 Test Series in england, Kohli got 593 runs - he was the highest run getter in that series Second highest is jos Buttler at 349 runs Third highest Cook at 327

Exactly. He's throwing away his wicket and it's really frustrating. He threw away his wicket so many times that it has become a pattern which is visible to even common person. Even in last odi worldcup final, he scored enough run on scoreboard, there was no need to hit boundaries & he still went for a big hit & ended up getting caught.

I feel Rohit's decline is due to his age, he has become too slow on the field and his reaction time during fielding and batting has gotten worse. I don't expect him to bounce back unless there is some unexpected improvement in his fitness. I will ask him to retire if he doesn't score atleast 3 half centuries/ a century and a fifty during the tour. For Kohli's 4-5 year decline I think it has been a combination of both aging and technical aspects. He has slightly worked on his technique and he was India's best batter during t20 WC in Australia and he looked good in South Africa. Two places where there is pace and bounce, I believe he will never be reliable like his prime to perform everywhere cricket is played. But his experience can be valuable and he can be expected to perform in certain conditions and fail in others. I will keep him if he averages around 35-40 during this tour.
