Yes, he has had one bad year which recency bias of course it was last year. But for some reason people view Pat as if he is supposed to be like Middleton or something when in reality he is a solid bench player.

look, if a team will take his salary and we have gary trent under the table saying he will come here once we free the cap space FINE. otherwise he is a solid 15-20 a night to fill in the hustle and grind games. is he worth the deal we gave him? no. will another team want him for 2/20 mil? probably not

Just hypthetical, but i believe that the grizzlies could use portis, they need the rebounding and the stretch for ja and triple J. We should try and trade with them and throw in pat for a third team to get a center+a decent player

I think the hate for Connoughton is way over the top. I don’t think he’s a liability like people say. Players love him the only thing I’d like to see is his minutes go down to give more to AJ Green, Marjon and Ajax. But imo he’s our best off ball cutter I’d like to see him do that more tbh.

I would do that Walker Kessler trade if we could manage to get a couple 2nds back in the next two drafts. Kessler to me is the ideal big man backup for this team, but we would still need that rim runner. I do not agree that with having Dame and Middleton on the team we need a floor spacing big, all you really need for proper spacing is 2 lethal shooters which we have. Not to mention that teams have started to cover Brook with their worst guard since he is so slow and they just switch when brook enters the arc. This makes penetration not any different than if you had a rim runner. I hate the Ingram and Brown trades because they trigger the 1st apron and hard cap us which realistically is not an issue, but to that point neither of the deals seem worth it. The only way I would bring Ingram in is if we got under the Apron so we do not have to worry about hard capping or any triggers, and then we can aggregate freely without consequence.

Pat had to handle the ball w/out Dame & Giannis. May have been why Playoff Pat didn't return. It's only been a yr since that happened. I want to trade him, but not concede a future 1st. Otherwise Buckaroos need to suck it up.

Connaughton isn’t a starter, or really even a huge role player. No other team has this guy as someone they want, and we aren’t going to get anything that we really want in return! He is not a liability, we’re just overpaying him. He isn’t somebody that we need to get rid of as much as other people think. I mean, I went a memorabilia store, and I got a signed pat connaughton jersey for 60 dollars with JSA. That is lower than a regular unsigned dame or Giannis jersey! That’s how bad these people think he is.

Realistically, it would be Connaugton plus a Bucks 1st rounder for nothing in return. He has a player option for 9+ million for the 25/26 season. I doubt anyone takes his salary even for a Bucks 1st round pick. Unless a buy-out comes, the Bucks are holding onto him for the next two seasons.

Here’s the Problem. Pat Connaughton is probably 9th or 10th man on a good team. The Bucks were playing Pat Connaughton as the 7th man. He literally had nights where he played 25-30 minutes in some games. He’s not a real rotational piece. No team plays their 9th or 10th man 25 minutes. He’s not a bad player. He’s just not very good. If we you play him extended minutes, his lack of production and talent will start to become obvious.

Corey Kispert is 1 million times better than Pat. His scoring average has increased every year on a team with shot jacking Kuz and Poole. Went from 8, 11, to 13. He’s 25 and Pat has never averaged over 10. To each his own but I’ll take 13, 3, and 2 at 25 years old over 5, 3, and 2 at 31.
