This is difficult. I do not dislike Dabol, however he seems to have some self-control issues. It may interfere with his thinking process... It seems that what the Giants practice and what is played in the field is 2 different things. They always seem to have a good weeks of practice and then on Sunday go out and get shellacked by the opposition. To be honest they be improve overall last year, if you discount the playoff year, you'd think they would have been better. But, last year was a Giants type of year, the playoff year was not. I did not spend a lot of tie wondering why the Giants could not improve on the playoff year. My opinion, they should have let Jones walk, gotten a new QB and started from scratch. I have seen a little of Jones this year and there looks like some good snap in the ball, my fear is, as in every year, is what happens when they begin beating him upon his helmet, and driving him into the ground forcefully. They have not treated Daniel well on field. When that happens balls go awry, timing plays are blown and game are lost. What’s changed? It is said there is a new line that actually is an old line. That doesn't appear to be the problem, however we will see when the ball is snapped to Daniel. Will he have the time he needs to pass the ball? Can his receivers run their routes and get open? Can they catch the ball? We will see how they do in the heat of battle. If this is a glorious year, Dabol is welcome to stay. If it is a typical play good but lose year, Dabol should practice his craft, which is not being a HC, but an OC.

I understand your frustration. The inconsistencies between practice and game performance are concerning. Daniel Jones has shown potential, but the offensive line needs to protect him better for him to have a chance to shine. The decision to keep Jones was risky, and we’ll see if it pays off. Regarding Dabol, if he can’t turn this team into winners, perhaps he truly is better suited as an offensive coordinator. Let’s hope this year is different and we see significant improvements on the field. Thank you for your detailed comment and for sharing your opinions!

@@Newyorkgiantsnewsfannews You're welcome. It's nice to know you can have an opinion. Dabol had a coaching meltdown last year. Year before good season made the playoffs. So, who is he, a playoff HC, or a loser HC, so far he is a loser. He was hired to turn the team around. He was never a coach before, and Shoen was never a GM before. The biggest offensive producer was allowed to walk, that was someone’s decision. That the kind of decisions we can look forward, then we can guess what kind of season it's going to be. On the other side of the coin, the Gants are not the only team playing there are two teams on the field. That's so watching the game of football is enjoyable, watching both teams play is enjoyable. It's that love of football.

Thank you so much for your comment and for sharing your perspective! It's always great to have an open discussion about our team. I completely agree that having differing opinions makes our community stronger and more dynamic. Regarding Coach Daboll, it's true that last season had its ups and downs, but it's important to remember that every coach has a learning curve. His first year was impressive, making the playoffs, and while last season didn't meet all our expectations, it's a part of the journey. Every season brings new challenges and opportunities for growth. Coach Daboll and GM Shoen are still relatively new to their roles, and I'm optimistic about the direction they're taking the team. Losing key players is tough, but it's all part of the bigger strategy to build a resilient and competitive team. As you said, watching football is enjoyable because it's about the love of the game and seeing both teams give their all on the field. I believe the Giants have some exciting times ahead, and I'm looking forward to seeing how this season unfolds. Let's keep supporting our team and enjoying every moment of the game together! Go Giants!

@Newyorkgiantsnewsfannews Thank you for noticing and responding to my comment. First I will disagree with you about any supposed learning curve. You’re the HC you are supposed to know, period. OK, I know he had never been a HC before, but what makes him think he is a HC, because he wants to be? How about we get some experience with the whole HC stew, know what goes in it, and how to cook it up, and then open the restaurant. OK, Giants brass isn’t immune here hiring a rookie GM and a rookie HC together, and putting them in the boiling pot of not having the best resources to start their new careers. Both of them think they know because the watched. Yes, it is admirable to make the playoff the first year, but you know this a what have you done for me lately league. HC that have gone to championships have been fired for the next, so one might say failure is not an option. To your point the first year was good and the 2nd not good, well what happens if the 3rd year is not so good. I heard a rumor, not sure if it is true, that Barkly was let go primarily on a philosophy that this year they are going to throw the ball, so why pay all that money to a RB. I don't know who said that, but they don't understand football. When you have an individual that contribute so much to the offense, that if you don't have the individual that contribution will not be there from that position. When there is no run threat, there are 8 men in the box and a variety of blitzes if you think you are going to throw the ball to succeed, and I don’t paid to think that up, Imagine the pro minds looking at the yummy Giants offence serving up Jones every week. I'm not going to say how many years I have been a part of pro football, but I would be one of those dudes with long white whiskers. There was a story the other day, I think it may be part of the Hard Knocks series, where they say the Giants have no identity. Who are they, as a team? Do they have a moniker? Do their units have a moniker, like the Fearsome Foursome, or the Purple People Eaters, Identity? I would humorously their identity is the madman on the sidelines going out of control. Somewhere he did not learn to control himself under all condition. Compare Andy Reid, a mountain that will not be moved. Remember Tucker Fredrickson, Fran Tarkington, way back in the day. Homer Jones #45! We had a RB Ron Johnson, and he was pretty good. Don't get me wrong that is not the only era I think of It was the first time I noticed the Giants as football players amongst all the others in the league. Lastly, on the topic of winning and losing. You can lose because you don't have the manpower. Then you have to think why don't you have the manpower? Many will say money, some will say we can't find the right one. The problem of the Giants, and correct me if I am wrong, they don't know how to construct a team. They have had GMs who knew how to construct a winning team. In fact, they fired a GM who won 2 Super Bowls, because he forget his own formula for winning, and the natives, as they will do here, got restless and soon the 2X Super Bowl winning GM was gone. From 2012 - 2023, the Giants have had only 2 seasons of over .500 wins, the real losing seasons. So, I want you to understand where I am coming from and patience is a difficult commodity to sell to a Giants fan. We bought that and it don't work. So, good on Daboll for a successful season, but it is not enough, not nearly, and to fall on your face the next season and not know why? It is quite inexcusable, in fact it erases the playoff year. This is a trend year. They are supposed to have strengthened the weaknesses, weaponized the offence, and the defense is supposed to be top notch. That being the case, I'm looking forward to the team getting it done. I see Jones he looks healthy, he throwing the ball with aplomb. So, despite the negativity, I have hope, I want the Giants to win. I look at Mara and he has the demeanor of a losing owner, 4 wins in 2023. Can you imagine his pride level? 4 wins. For shame, for shame. So, he's not a happy camper, they should know that as of today. Mara wants to win...something. A division win, a division championship something, how about a Super Bowl, or how about the team fighting hard to get there. I personally would like the owner smiling, and maybe the GM. We know Daboll a maniac so I'll leave out of the smile rant. I have seen Daboll smile when he wins, we'd like to see him smile for winning as often as possible. Sorry about the long note I'm expressing myself as I thing you are a sympathetic ear. Please note this will not be a habit know I this off my chest. The NY Post no longer allows me to post. Permanent ban. Don’t ask me why, I honestly do not know. Training camp has opened already for some teams. Players will have to survive. Two games to preseason, and then the opening season. I have seen the regular season schedule. A real tough start first 8 games, real tough. My advice, go 200%, and practice like every practice is a playoff game. The opposition is in it to win it and they are not going to let a losing team beat them. Not only will you need to bust them in the nose, you'll have to take that wining bone right out their clinched teeth mouth, that’s I you want to win. Your opposition is not playing games.

Hey, I get it, Daniel Jones has had his ups and downs, but let's not forget he’s shown some serious potential. The team’s performance is a combination of many factors, including coaching, playcalling, and the supporting cast. It’s a team effort! What do you think the Giants need to improve the most? Let me know in the comments!

Actually , you can. as the biss, head coach, his is the final decision who plays. If jones is a bum as you say, should he not be on the bench and someone better play? I get ut, you like Dabol, but he is the playmaaker. He tell Jones what he suppoe to do. He makes the plays, not very good ones as I can see, but soe good ones. but the HC is the boat captain. In the playoff year Giants played real gioid, OK. Let's do it again, and get father in the playoffs! Um no not possible. You'd know bbetter than me why the Giants fell down once again and could not get up. Will this year be like that? I don;t get the feeling it will but I been ridin withe Giants and the Jets and they never fail to disappoint. So, bottom line is you can blame the HC, and you should.
