Trent Baalke, former 49ers GM and soon former Jags GM. Every media head and local Jax sports peeps knew the O line was horrendous, I feel GM totally goes against the obvious needs just so it shows he don't pay attention to one but himself. Like, in the small event that the weakling turns into a strong unit, he'll look like a genius. This guy does NOT put the team first, it's about him and his pride, or arrogance.

"sitting" and learning doesn't matter when you're physically so small and weak that you can't even throw a quick out with proper velocity it's not about the team around him, it's not about him needing to learn the game more, it's simply about him just literally not being built for it..... Bryce isn't an NFL QB no matter where he goes or how long he sits

7:00 respect Chris for this whole point. Narratives take weeks to develop and materialize, or even longer like over the course of the full season. Each week/game matters of course, but the pendulum swing of opinions can be so exhausting.

Nothing wrong though with saying the Bills look like the best team currently and Allen is currently the best QB with the way he’s been playing since last season. Better than Nick Wright who still thinks the Chiefs are the best team in the NFL even though they are the most average looking 3-0 team ever who can easily be 0-3 or 1-2.

Trevor had roughly a 27 game stretch that was really pretty good. The games before and after that middle window in his career have been about as low as a career can be. If he doesn’t shape up, he’s going to be 1 of the most expensive backups in the league because he really doesn’t deserve that paycheck, and this is coming from a Jags fan.

Sam Darnold was a top pick. Baker Mayfield was a top pick. Geno Smith was a top pick. They all bombed out from the teams that drafted them. Let’s talk about how rookie QBs used to be expected to carry a clipboard and learn for a year or more before getting on the field. Pro-ready rookie QBs are unicorns, and expecting them to all be that puts too much pressure on them just because a top pick was used. Wouldn’t the teams that drafted those QBs like to have them back now? Though I guess the QB room in NY would be pretty crowded about now.

The guy in Houston got most of his numbers bec his team won 4 games and were down in almost every game and went against soft defenses in the 2nd half. I've said since day 1 the whole Watson trade and Baker situation would be a death nail in the coffin that is the Browns window to do something.
