It is truly awesome to see Grandma walk into the shot whenever she chooses to. Even better that her boys show her the respect she clearly deserves. One of my favorite things about this channel is that it's truly a "family" channel, that and all the things I learn from watching the fabrication as it happens.

The fire extinguisher is a great gift. It's been my experience, when you carry a fire extinguisher, it's not your vehicle where one is required but someone who didn't have the forethought to bring one themselves. My dad had one in every vehicle my parents owned, and that's what I observed. He never needed it for his own vehicle

Far and above, Fab Rats has become my absolute favorite place to land on You Tube. I'm still binge watching from the start to catch with current. Two thoughts: tools, sharpies, and random things get lost in the garage, one thing I've not seen lost is someone's Mt Dew. Second, its finally occurred the image in my head of Paul and Ben, man it's Pinky and the Brain. By no means is that a slam. I don't know if someone already commented this or not since I cant read through all 1000 comments, but. That whine noise sounds like it chirping the internal bypass instead of flowing straight through. That is why it goes away when you operate the boom. Being those PTO pumps are just a gear pump it should be an open center system and have basically zero pressure until you operate a lever. If that is the case it's going to build heat fast. I would look into it before you tear the PTO apart. Maybe have elevated watch this video if he hasn't already.

Paul nailed his shapes in this one 🤣🤣 Great seein Gma and Ben is such an awesone addition to the shop 😎 I like that you are using the hydraulic winches instead of going all electric... It seems like the new side step/brace is limiting the pull angles of the side winches unless the tube is maybe smooth enough to just run around it.... Rory runs the side winches to the rear wheels as an extra brake/safety precaution in certain situations ! Love seeing all the progress on the wrecker !

If you are planning to keep steel cables on the 2 main winches, I would suggest putting some fairly stout expanded metal screen in that rear roll cage. if you are towing something out and it hangs on something, your could break a cable and whipsaw the back window and possibly the occupants. Just a precaution.🤔
@chrisoakey98412 жыл бұрын

Remember to drill vent holes in the box section, underside ,they sweat condensate inside corrode 👍
@dustymojave2 жыл бұрын
But such vent holes let moisture in at least as much as let it out. And Utah is not in the rust belt. Fab Rats is in the desert. The humidity level in the shop while they were welding that structure, in spite of the patches of snow outside, was probably in the 20-30% range. I live in the same desert, although a different part of it. When the weather here is as it's been there, and it's been similar without the snow, the humidity has been typically low. So not so much of an issue for them.
