needs a clean pocket? penix had elite pocket stats last season. hes literally the best in the pocket in the draft. had the lowest average time to throw before facing pressure at 2.68 seconds and had an insanely low pressure to sack rate (7.6%). so low that 2nd ranked mccarthy was closer to 5th ranked caleb than penix.

The Raiders are a QB away from challenging the chiefs. They now have the coach, they stole Christian Wilkins which greatly helps their defense, Penix Jr would put them in the same improvement company as the Texans. They’ll at least make the playoffs if they get Penix I think.

If LV can’t work a trade to get Daniels, Penix is a good fallback. Good arm, athletic, and smart. Plus they won’t have to mortgage a bunch of 1st round picks to draft him. Will still need to get a RT who can pass protect.

Why on Earth would they? O’Connell played great at the end of the season and they signed Minshew to starter’s money. If they do draft Penix, or good lord, trade up, what’s the Raider’s plan?
