Lions are 1st in scoring offense and 2nd in scoring defense. Their point differential is +180 and 2nd place is 49 points behind that (and 3rd place is 78 points behind). They are on pace for the 10th largest point differential in a season of all time. Last year the Lions defense was 23rd in scoring and they made the NFC championship game, almost winning it. The Lions will still be competitive.

I think it makes sense for these guys to be okay losing a few games. The teams that make it to the Super Bowl end up with fewer injuries than the others. You can plug a few big holes, but you can’t lose 2-3 players per week. If you want to win games, play your starters. If you want to win championships, they’ve got to be okay with losing a few of these match ups.

As a Vikings fan, I wouldn’t be panicking if I was a Lions fan. The Lions have done an incredible job at getting a ton of depth and the depth pieces they have are plug and play. A lot of these guys will be back by the playoffs. I love how everyone jumps to conclusions about Detroit. We’ve won in every way imaginable this season and Coach B doesn’t see how the Lions will do against some of the better qbs lol. We will do the same as all great teams and score more than the team we’re playing. Great teams dig deep. If any team can do it, it’s this Lions squad.
