You always come and ask to invest in HDFC as whatever the situation. I know you invested lots in HDFC. Market surely going to down 10-15% from here. Then you are asking to invest now as most of the people have limited amount of money to invest. Why should not people little wait and watch as top analysts are suggesting down side like Word bank, IMF, Large broker farms and investors? You are not suggesting anything from a small investor point of view and their limitation, rather you always put you doing and interest first, and who care of you if you dont care others of common people?

Does anyone have any idea which stocks may be experiencing major growth this new year season? A lot of people have been talking about a January bounce. I recently sold my Boca Grande, Florida, house, and I want to invest a lump sum before equities recover in the stock market. Is now a good time to buy or not?

The link between Repo rate of central banks and inflation rate and the consequent results on the growth of economies is well explained. An increase in Repo rate not only brings down inflation but also brings down the growth rate .But governments will not allow growth rate to come down thereby stock markets won’t go down more than 10/15%. So We need not worry about market break down .However We can expect a break out by next 6months in which the presently undervalued stocks like HDFC Bank can give good returns . Thank you Akshat for the timely video and we are waiting for your next video on Undervalued stocks .

Hi, I am not a finance student. I have some simple questions. It would really helpful, if, you could guide: - Why central bank fix the repo rate? As, bank give loans from the people's savings. - It would be really funny, if, bank like HDFC and ICICI do not have enough money to give loans. - Govt. take loans from commercial banks with high interest rate. Why they do not take loans directly from central bank with lesser repo rate/zero interest rate?
@bhavikshah50162 жыл бұрын
The Fed will raise current interest rates from 3.5% levels, further to 4.5 - 4.75% in 50 to 75 bps steps well into 2023. I think whenever the Fed hikes upto this target, there will be mini shocks in the markets where money is being pulled out by FIIs. But in 6 to 8 months if Fed starts cooling off the rates then there could be an upward breakout. With recsession looming over eurpoe and in the us, I guess it best to take positions in less volatile sectors such as fmcg.

Wonderful video! first got into BTC back in 2016 and have been hodling/buying sats at different price points since. I've been through corrections before and will likely experience more over the future. Volatility is simply the price one needs to pay if they want to play. I don't have any Alts as I'm a bit of a BTC Maxi, but that said, if BTC hasn't died before, it surely won't do so now. Stick in there - yes we are all feeling the pain, but over the long run this will just be a blip. This is how I see past corrections when I felt that I got in at a high (back then I think it was less than $1000 and bouncing all over the place!). Now when I look back, all I see is regret for not having the courage in buying more at those times. But if you believe BTC has value, then by all means, buy these dips if you can afford to. For those who got in at 60 or 70K and feeling the crunch: hang in there. BTC is not a get rich quick scheme. Wait it out and you will see: you will come away stronger. I buy and just trade long term more than ever, I have made over 1.5` btc from day trading with Draven tuffin Crypto in few weeks this is one of the best medium to backup your assets incase it goes bearish. Technical analysis is my second.… 👉You can reach MR Draven on ͲeIєɠɾαm @Dravenstrade

One liner of this video " fed/rbi will not increase the interest rate beyond a point because the governments will not like it. Hence the market will not be affected much". My view is, this is exactly betting against the fed.The real peril for the economy is inflation. What if the prices of essentials sky rocket? The government will be blamed for that and they will lose the support of the masses. So they would also want the inflation to come down. Also Inflation is just a structural indicator of underlying pain and pressure in the economy. This will affect the businesses directly no matter what the interest rate is. What is the point in people earning more (gdp increase) while their expenses increase manifold disproportionate to their income.The market is factoring all these not just interest rate in a uni-dimensional way. So there is pain in the economy, global supply chain issues, strong dollar, geopolitical tensions in Russia and China. So I feel the market has started it's journey downhill. So better to safeguard our positions. The suggestion is to reduce the stake in the market and start more investment only after a clear direction above the peak of today is visible. Better to be safe than sorry.

Nice video. But don't agree with the fact where you assume that Govt controls the Fed. (At least not in US). US Fed has 2 mandates. (1) Keep Inflation less then 2% and maintain price stability (2) Maximum employment. Chair Powell would be very happy to sacrifice the job market and let the unemployment go from 3.7% to say 4.4% or higher to control the inflation. Unemployment would effect the demand side. (Fed can't control the supply side) Contrary to India, Inflation is controlled very tightly in US. Modi & Mota bhai might have control on the RBI Fed chair, but US Fed chair is more or less independent. (nominated by the president, confirmed by the senate to manage the Fed's mandate assigned by the congress). Until the inflation comes under/around 2%, chair Powel would not pivot. Which in case would push the dollar index higher and the rupee and other currencies lower. (Watch DXY) This would also effect the market worldwide. Just like QE helped, QT would definitely hurt. But how much the market would go down is the question. As a long term investor, keep on investing. Keep up the good work Akshat.

In today’s trading world making profits is basically the bottom line and dream of every investor or trader, what happens when you’re losing funds instead of making funds(profits). My advice would be to work with an established platform or personnel to help you right your wrongs.

Can anyone explain...why is india increasing interest rate if us is increasing it?
@kcsnew2 жыл бұрын
Wow, Well Explained Akshat, in most of the US analysts videos no one ever explains these basics, thanks to you. I have been noticing Indian market not crashing so much with respect US market crash after the Fed announced int rate hike US which is a good sign. I am thinking Indian market does not crash so much because of different reasons we don’t panic so much, whether the demography, our culture, lack of knowledge etc. Just that news showing some marginal impact on the Indian market no major reaction. My two cents. 👍

@kcsnew No, lack of knowledge is not the reason, read what Kamath (zerodha founder ) has to say on this. Indian markets now has least leverage in FnO ( based on sebi regulation changes), Also you need atleast 50% capital to trade in FnO now.... These r some of the points which are guiding traders to losing less money & which in turn making stock market resilient than other countries.

Where is open economy then? If there was less govt control in 70s or 80s then what do you think about LPG reforms whether the govt control increased after that?

Hi Akshat, To control inflation Gov's are increasing the interest rates. At one end the loan interest rates will increase and money will flow to Gov than before which controls the inflation. In other case FD or gov bond interest rate will also increase. My doubt is at some point these FD and bond will mature at high interest rates, Will that cause more inflation at the time of maturity ? Thanks
