Agreed...if it's B9 Game 7 of WS and we're protecting a 1-run lead I would feel most confident with Hoffman closing with Strahm in a crucial 7th/8th inning pinch...The rest (Seranthony, Soto, Alverdao, Orion) are solid but I feel a lil nervous with any of those guys ... All in all, I feel our Bridge-2-Lidge combo is Strahm & Hoffman this year!!!

Couldnt agree more. In high leverage situations I want to see Strahm or Hoffman out there. Or they make the move for Finnigan.

If you are already “all in” it only makes sense to double down; by the definition of all in… the rest of your farm isn’t even real money. I do it for Robert. Right hand bat under control are you really going to let Bohm walk for Miller? Not anymore he’s an all star now like it or not it wouldn’t be a good look. We have 4 pitchers to control for a few years. Robertt all the way, Nick walks at the end of his deal: Robert is extended. Right hand protection locked. Defense is still strong as Robert has a glove. Rojas can platoon wit Marsh if we want to get him on field. Or maybe he’s in the deal to preserve another prospect from going. I’d give two of our top 100 for Luis Robert, all day. It makes too much sense. Defense and a right handed bat, another star if you deal with an injury. You have to push it all in, if it’s already in right… we have to get over our fear of never having a farm system again; that department is finally improved enough that I believe we can replenish. Who knows if we trade like a Cana for lane Thomas and it ends up being a worse outcome than the bigger prospect trade. Get me an offensive / defensive powerhouse in his prime for $20mil the next couple seasons. That’s Nick’s number, I love Nick but I you can’t resign him after his deal we need a power threat righty for the future. Miller won’t be that for us; let him be something somewhere else.

Taylor Ward is hitting .354 against LHP. Platoon him with Marsh in LF. Play Rojas everyday simply for his defense and allow him to work on his offense

I too thought abt T.Ward but man that Avg is scary low , , he might hit .354 vs LHP , but we can't take the chance he plain and simple can't hit for shit.
