Agreed, he’s not even close. We just signed an overachieving infielder to a terrible contract and have to deal with it. (Baez) Don’t need a small aging players body to break down second year in which could easily happen with Bregman. Let someone else make the mistake.

I would love Tigers Fest coming back went every year as a kid, I think you have to do it at Comerica Park tho it was so cool to see everything and the snow on the field it was part of the excitement. I loved it. Charge $30 a person and you will get a massive crowd

I think you if you view the "rules" Scott Harris has is you build from prospects and use free agents as 1 year contracts to round out teams. Torres was signed over all others because he was willing to accept the 1 year contract. I think Bregman is such a obvious fit, Harris will only sign if he gets on a cheap deal.

Just because the Tigers aren't spending recklessly like the Mets, doesn't mean that they're not offering Bregman a fair market deal. Keep in mind- Bregman's camp started this off-season floating out some pipe dream figures in the neighborhood of $300M.

Hello gents: please consider the following 2 items in a future podcast please kindly. (1) Scott Harris definitely, most definitely made a mistake in 2024 by not getting Matt Chapman and JD Martinez. Those two players with their 2024 WARs might have propelled the Tigers one step further, into the World Series finals, if you accept everything else worked out as well as it did. What do you say gents? And isn’t the SAME mistake being made now in 2025? (2) this is a wild wild one. Just for ticket sales and market buzz, wouldn’t it have been just great if the Tigers got Verlander for $15M and (cough, look away?) traded for Mike Trout …? Crazy moves but imagine the clubhouse with Trout and Verlander. And the Wild fans! Any thoughts to run this crazy hypothetical in your show??

I have the same question. I saw him play in minors and he was an okay third baseman, but since his shoulder injury the Tigers have been pushing him to limit use of his throwing arm. Hopefully with another years rest maybe he goes back to being a third baseman?
