It’s important to remember that the 1962 Mets(win percentage .250) isn’t the worst team of all time, that goes to the 1916 A’s(win percentage. 235).

What’s truly remarkable is how bad the Sox have been, despite being part of a season where no other teams are great. Good, yes. CLV-MIN-KCR are doing well, DET’s in the mix but none of Chicago’s opponents in their own Division are anything more than very good. No team will win 100 this year. Right now only two teams have 90 wins; both in the NL. Chicago is doing atrociously in a year of boring mediocrity.

I’m a Cubs fan, and naturally don’t like the White Sox, but this saddens me. It’s a terrible thing. I wouldn’t want this kind of thing to happen to any team. I just wonder how this could even happen in modern baseball.

Yes they will , the 1962 Mets are going to lose the title of worst team ever forever forget the Cleveland Spiders, no one on this earth was there to see them
