Will these problems make us stop traveling? - [S1EP60]

Today we are leaving Memel, but during packing the bikes Cissy notices a small problem that turns into a bigger much bigger problem. Unfortunately we end up having to make a temporary solution and this mean saying no to the dirt roads that we had planned. We heading out after some interruptions at he gas station towards Ermelo. After spending the night, we heading on towards Nelspruit, still without having fixed the bags. And there we made a decision that will change our lives for a while. Well done on Season 1......Best of luck for Season 2.... Maybe just a suggestion to Season 2...it will be nice if you do more scenery with the drone, explanations on how the bikes did....maybe stay 2 days at a place and load things to do or tell us about the area.... If you drive in loose sand, you should go faster then you wont fall... Otherwise, loving your clips

Thank you for your suggestions, always good to hear what people would like to see more off! Regarding the sand and riding faster, we know the theory... but after my fall in the sand while keeping speed (episode 31, riding through the Remote karoo ) I have lost the confidence to keep speed up in sand. It seems that speed might not be all that it takes while your bike is heavily loaded. But I am sure we will get better with time! I am glad you are enjoying the videos and we will be sure to try to make season 2 even better!

I use the same bags. Seeing this happen to you I think I'll pay more attention to these buckles. Consider using something woven that is less likely to cut through the straps. Those steel shackles would have been the best replacement if they fitted. Best luck with the fix though

We actually have added some woven rope on all our buckles now temporarily as a precaution until the new bags arrive (Enduristan is sending us new ones as these were still under warranty)

We are hopefull that we will be able to start traveling next week. However we plan to build a little backlog incase there is no signal or power. So the first videos will start somewhere at the end of this month we hope! 👍
