Will They Swarm?

I find it fascinating that in England you easily get along as a community in community spaces! Where I live in America it is VERY important to everyone to have their own private acreage…..to the extreme point that if you wander onto someone else’s property they will come and greet you with a firearm. It would not be unexpected, if the person is very private, for them to actually take a shot at you if you resist their first warning for any reason. While I enjoy my own acreage I’m not certain it is healthy to take ownership to such an extreme. On the other hand my sheep and bees are dependent on me for their security…which is not at all guaranteed if one is careless regarding who comes on one’s property and polices those who wander with evil intent….which seems more common these days than not.

I also have a hive looking exactly the same. Today I've checked for swarm cells and only found two small empty cells. Could it be something to do with this very strange weather we're getting in the UK at the moment?

The weather is certainly unusual, which may well affect their behaviour.

Could it be a "Fire Drill " ? Fred Dunn (Beek KZbinr) has a similar Video showing this... fire drill, think is a USA term for a pre swarm 'try before we fly ' practice... 😏
