Man I feel for you! I hate the problems where it's not clear what's wrong. Thank God for grandpa! He seems like a good man.

Looks like you had a blast instilling a new harness like all the fun I had when I did mine. Didn't look like a hard job once I started digging into it figured 3-4 hours tops but next thing I knew its day 3 and still hugging that greasy pig. LOL I tried saving a few bucks and tried buying a good used harness Then spent almost a week testing soldering and rewrapping

Man I am having a damn close issue , my glow plug control module is burning hot and i definitely have a short, I’m praying the wiring harness doesn’t fry the FICM and PCM aswell

What made you think you needed one. How did it run
@Scott46Lee11 ай бұрын
Truck ran great but would randomly die as if you turned the key off. After watching a scanner found out that it was losing cam signal (No Sync). Replaced the cam and crank sensor with OEM sensors and had the same issue

Thanks for replay I think I’m having same problems but haven’t got to put in new crank sensor or crank sensor I checked ipr it looked good screen clean

What year is your truck ? The mystery module that u mentioned operates your glow plugs . Located on the passenger side valve cover . Just in case you didn't figure out what it was . What ended up being the issue with it not starting ? You can clean your ipr valve . If you are not familiar with Diesel tech Ron , he has many helpful videos .

My trucks a 2006, it ended up being a combination of engine harness, PCM and FICM, was told that it’s a good possibility that the wiring harness shorted the PCM/FICM

Three minutes into the video and he has the harness removed and sitting on the floor; no video or instruction on HOW it was removed, especially on the passenger side of the engine! Useless video!

I did! Ended up being a combination of engine harness, FICM, and PCM. We believe the harness shorted out the FICM and PCM
