I just got an open road 13.5k lb winch. I like the fact that the winch is 65 lbs because my winch bumper is 135 lbs and there’s a point where I’d rather keep the weight down.

Who ever installed my Warn Winch on my Jeep they also put a strong tack weld from the nut on the thread. It's not going anyplace.😁

Believe it or not, some people have their high end winches stolen. That tack weld isn't holding anything structurally together, but it is helping prevent anybody from walking off with it.

I'll just lie to you next time. It would have been much easier than interviewing my friends with much more experience than myself, taking their feedback, researching several other winches, and comparing them to the specifications that my friends said are important.
