£1330. Not sure what the max SPL is. And a custom protocol so no one else can produce modules. The trouble with tech like this is that often the companies are gone within 5 years and then you’re stuck if anything breaks or you need a new input module. Obviously it makes a great, say, coffee shop sound system. Particularly if you can connect the speaker boxes wirelessly so you can either go stereo or at least cover a larger area. Adding remote override for the cafe owner to override on one input would be great too. Don’t think it’s aimed at a rock covers band with full drum kit and bass guitar, or running the pub disco from a laptop. So it’s more replacing a Roland StreetCube with fully wireless inputs. But it’s definitely more up in the Boss L1 compact price range.

It’s an interesting concept and only time will tell. I can tell you that the people at Kombo Audio are already looking towards how they can expand and use the speaker in different ways. Looking promising. And the sound is awesome 🤩

I think because stereo panning effects are so important for my style, the mono thing is kind of disappointing. However, in outdoor situations the panning would not seems very noticable? Playing with backing tracks might cause phasing problems with mono playback as well. Overall I'd say it's a very intriguing item and shows a tremendous effort to bring it to life. Getting any product to market is difficult and it's obvious the niche this is aimed at: Busking wireless with battery power. But can buskers afford expensive items and trust no one will steal it when they are using the pissour? lol.

That’s fair. It’s also just that the battery is an added bonus and it goes wayyy beyond just busking. I can see these in coffee shops and small bar/ venue gigs but without wires. Thinking of the places I’ve played where the artist is shoved in the corner and the power cables are miles away.. that’s just gone. Setup time reduced. Battery power but so much more than a busking amp. It’s certainly more of a PA sound system. Hope that makes sense.

Hi JP ! Thanks for sharing your experience ! I'm a flamenco singer and guitar player. So do you think this system should be a good one for my style of music. Is it possible for you to make a demo with a classical guitar.

That’s interesting. I don’t currently have the Sound System with me, I had to go and visit them.. but once I get one into my studio, that’s a good idea. You can always book a demo with them if your ever in Copenhagen. 👍🏻
