This 1967 Ford F100 was parked here and torn apart 40 years ago in 1980. It has 76k original miles and is such a cool piece of history, we are so glad to be able to save. Can we get it running and drive it home, after sitting for so long? I hope you all enjoy this fun! Want more? Let us know down below! Thank you so much for the love and support!

Had a straight six in a 1980 f100 it sat for 8+ years after purchasing another truck. I finally made the choice to sell it. To my surprise a guy called on the first morning and wanted to come see it right away. I hadn't even cleaned the ten inches of leaves out of the bed. Holy moly I had to run to the parts store and the gas station on the way over to where the truck was stored. I put the five gallons of gas in that filled it up....so it already had 15 in it.i only had ten minutes till he showed up so I fastened in the battery hooked up the pos, and then when I touched the neg the engine started like it was just turned off 5 minutes ago. The smell of the wurst gas I've ever smelled coming out of the tail pipe almost made me puke. As I looked up the guy arrived 5 minutes early. He got out of his car looked at the truck for 1-2 minutes and said I'll take it. I was only there minutes before he showed up. You gotta laugh btw I saw him driving that ole truck for years after that........

I came over here from watching #VGG wake up a 'Vette, & here you guys are waking up an old Ford...must be my lucky day! And you must've read my mind, because you gave me an update on the Comet while getting this one ready to go - looking forward to more on that...I did mention I'm not a Ford fan, right? :) Also want to give your Dad a shout out for knocking out those brakes - front drums bring back memories of learning how to service them back in high school. When another student mentioned that cars had front discs now (this was the '80s), my instructor said "You really think you're only going to service cars built now? You need to be prepared for whatever rolls in the door!" And that advice has been a big help over the years. See ya on Monday!

Fantastic!!! When you pulled the tarp off the engine I thought no way they will drive it home with all the parts missing. Forgot who I was watching. My son just bought his first vintage truck. A retired miner finally decided to let it go. 1990 F150xlt with a 302. Has a bit over 106k miles on it, completely original except exhaust. We begin replacing hoses tomorrow, good to see a real mechanic knowing what to do without computers, kudos to both of yall. Thanks and be careful

I’d love one of those especially in red and white. My dad learned how to drive in one of those. I wish it would have stayed in the family but sadly it was rusting away with all the salt on the roads. And was scrapped before I was born. Was a 67 little f100 long bed

Here's a VERY HELPFUL tip from a guy that has done numerous jobs like this. When working in the field with a lot of brush and tall grass, always place a blue tarp of plastic on the ground under as much of the vehicle as possible. Small bolts, screws and parts are nearly impossible to find when dropped...and you will drop some. Cheap and easy insurance to find them.

I put a 71, 302 in it and dual exhaust and I feel in love with it again! That’s the one with the gas tank behind the seat! lol I remember that! It's more like they didn't care about it and then they decided we can sell it. "There will always be someone who could repair it" type mentality, without they themselves understanding the effort it takes to repair it after neglect and rot for years.

Better watch where you buy those starter solenoids. Just worked on a 64 1/2 Mustang for a guy. The car had an AutoZone solenoid on it. I worked on the car for 2 days, drove it and everything. I was cleaning the interior, with the key in my pocket, and the car randomly started cranking. It ran over me, hit my zero turn mower, and pushed my mower through the wall in the garage. I'll take a 50 year old Motorcraft over a Chinese POS, thank you.

That STP stuff does not have as much zinc as you think. Project farm did a test and sent it to a lab, and the results were surprisingly bad. I used to use it as well.

Have you ever used a spark plug cleaner? In 1956 I worked in a gas station part time and was able to use one. More than once, we used the same plugs. I think it was a sandblaster. PS, 82 years now.

Watch the project farm video on STP. He tested it and conventional oils with oil analysis. The lab results showed that the STP treatment had less zinc than actual regular motor oil!!
