There is so little sensitivity to the sacred Jewish traditions. Things have to be kosher, they don’t eat pork, and she’s demanding respect for her traditions and not respecting anybody else’s. Also, studies are showing that ppl these days are getting married later in life than their predecessors. Sure, ppl see what they see in movies & videos, but most ppl nowadays don't go w the mainstream. Most want REAL connection & REAL love, not staying in or starting a marriage thats all about religion or what they think they're supposed to do. This reflects the same in childrearing & families. A lot are choosing not to have children or wait quite a while longer than others before them. Very interesting stuff. I believe to each their own.

I think it’s more fair if the bride and groom are on a tight budget, to have the bridal party pay for their attire but have their color/theme of the wedding. If the bride wants something over the top and expensive then yes they should pay for it. I gave my girls one color from my wedding and had them pick out what kind of dress they wanted and what they were comfortable with money-wise.
