I don't understand people at times. I've worked in the catering hall business for a long time and have seen some awesome weddings/receptions. I want to know who are they planning the receptions for them or their guest. Your guest are there to witness and celebrate your union, so when the couple or one of them say " I want everyone to be blown away" why do these things have to be over the top.

Wow, I just found out I’m really 🇮🇳 but also 🇸🇦. I’m nervous about it. I’m having Indian wedding rehearsal for my 💒, yet I don’t know 500 people. However, I’m not letting my future 🤵🏽‍♂️ take over the planning!

The bride picked out a beautiful cake and they said it was $586, but I believe the paper in front said it served 124 people. They would have at the least, added kitchen sheet cakes to give everyone a slice of cake. That's actually a nice thing, as it can be cut as dinner is being finished and ready to start handing out as soon as they cut the cake and then the rest can be taken in back and cut for the rest of the guests. But that definitely would have upped the price quite a bit as this was a little over $5 a slice and she needed 276 more slices! They may have given a discount per slice if it were just a sheet cake with the basic decoration. So I have to wonder what actually happened there. Maybe the baker did the extra for free to get the publicity?? But that would have disappointed other people trying to get the same deal!

if there's another dessert or it is served after dessert then not everyone will eat it. Sheet cakes are also way cheaper. I went to a wedding and they had he cake as dessert with ice cream. But then for the GF people they had GF brownies- likely store bought the day before- which would have been way cheaper.

The overbudget = the brides dress and jewelry, so the groom did care she looked great and he didn’t try to underspend on her. One thing that wedding planner touched the father as he went into the masque and he looked like he was going to murder her.
