I have been saying that McFarland should do what Mattel did with Justice League Unlimited, 3 packs of figures with 2 males and one female figures. It would allow the line to go deeper into the DCU.

Some of these sound promising but I'm afraid the line will stop before we get the ORIGINAL super powers line remade in this new one. Doctor Fate, Red Tornado & 80s creepy robot Brainiac are a must to me. I also really need Swamp Thing, Spectre and Phantom Stranger.

that is neat that we would get two more Legion of Doom characters, then all we would need is Lex Luthor in his green power suit, the Toyman, the Cheetah, the Scarecrow, Solomon Grundy , Gorilla Grodd, Captain Cold , and Giganta he did Darkseid in wave 1 and he was a big figure so he could do Solomon Grundy and Gorilla Grodd and Giganta then

I'm hoping we'll get a Bizarro and Riddler (Super Friends cartoon likenesses). I would like to see more villains in future waves, along with more female character, like Batgirl, Supergirl, Harley Quinn, and Black Canary. I would really like to see a Kenner-style Superman. I passed on the previous Superman versions because of the horrible head sculpt.

The head sculpts on Superman are definitely not my favorite. I slightly prefer the Wave 5 and up sculpt that has some minor tweaks over the wave 1 Superman, but I needs me that Kenner style sculpt for the Man of Steel ASAP!

They all sound great but I’m a huge Batman fan so I’m most excited to see the latest version. I’m also looking forward to seeing the latest Superman. They definitely need more villains especially the Joker, Lex Luthor and Penguin. Wouldn’t hurt to also see Hawkman and Cyborg.

From what I’ve found out since posting this, that leaked list DOES look to be accurate and will be wave 9! So unfortunately, no females besides another WW, but I have it on good authority more females are coming soon. So fingers crossed!

We will let you know if we hear anything new! As of now, doesn’t look like any rereleases planned. But since they did it with Manta, it’s definitely possible. Follow some Kenner fan FB pages if you don’t already. I’ve seen some being sold for reasonable prices by fellow collectors. Much better than the eBay prices (albeit without the protection eBay provides).

No date yet for preorders, and they tend to just drop those without warning, so hard to say. But I’m betting soon. We’ll try to post as soon as they do, but I recommend signing up for emails at McFarlane Toys Store. They send emails every time a new preorder goes live. I do think they’ll be on GameStop also. Most likely Amazon and Entertainment Earth as well.

I absolutely love the fact that the design aesthetics and the intellectual properties Of the past like the Batman 66 themes and super powers are still very popular and sell out wave after wave. Todd must be scratching his head, wondering why his “cool“ over stylized over designed concepts, often wind up in the clearance aisle yet the classic designs, which he seems to produce begrudgingly, are still a big hit with the fans.

As more of an old school dc collector and not really being in the loop anymore after the late 80’s, a lot of these newer spinoff characters, I am not familiar with. At this point with all the new waves coming out, the completist in me and my ocd just needs to have it, so I’m not complaining about what characters McFarlane decides to put out. Many are buying online at McFarlane Toys Store, GameStop, Amazon, Entertainment Earth, etc. Some on eBay. But the past wave has been found at Walmart and GameStop in store pretty regularly. I found all of Wave 7 at GameStop.

Of COURSE they're doing yet another Batman. I would rather see more different figures than more of the same ones. I mean, Darkseid is the only New God and there's a ton of the Bat Family and villains if he has to do Batman, but there are so many other possibilities...

For instance, the latest wave of SP figures at my WalMart are 5 Batman to one each of Kilieog, Blue Beetle, Brainiac, and Sinestro. They MUST do better than that or they will kill the line. We think preorders will probably go live next week. Not confirmed though, so keep checking McFarlane Toys Store’s website or socials for info. Best guess is they will be available on McFarlane Toys, Amazon, Walmart, Entertainment Earth, etc like past waves. No store exclusives confirmed, though there is some speculation that Metamorpho will be Walmart exclusive (we don’t think that is the case, though). If we get any additional updates, we’ll share in a Community post ASAP.

Wouldn’t trust those. All using stock images or photos taken at a fan fest a few weeks ago. They haven’t been released yet anywhere as far as I know. Could be legitimate preorders from a retailer in Hong Kong, but it wouldn’t be my first choice to test that theory considering the price hike they have on them.

And I am elated if the Three-pack of JSA figures is in the Kenner Style and size. (I'll go 'round in circles') [LOL.!!} Todd will have REALLY out done himself if he gives us The Justice Society of America figures in the Kenner size and style.!! (THAT will blow me away.!!) I have truly hoped for the JSA in the Super Powers line.!! The 'Classic, All-Star Golden Age Heroes of the JSA'... Wow.!! 😛 I need not tell you how long I have wanted those guys...!! i really cant stand either of those wave 1 superman or batman molds. i would have jumped on batmanga and fleischer superman if they were built on newer body types. if we have to keep using those wave 1 molds Id rather see them reserved for more monstrous variants of either of those two, like batzarro, composite superman, or the superman monster from the super powers cartoon.

I definitely understand that sentiment. Some of the figures worked better than others in those molds, IMO. Like Thomas Wayne Batman and Lord Superman. But generally agree they aren’t my favorite sculpts. Those would be some awesome characters to include, by the way!

Seems that way, yes. I kinda wonder if the shipping delays of Wave 7 delayed Wave 8’s preorder release also. We usually start seeing the next wave leaks after preorder of the previous, but these popped up earlier.
