Seo and Kim was an interesting combination because we have 2 players that are also XD player so they can cover front and back court with ease. Seo is showing his calibre as an all round player. Lets see if they can keep this form and also stay injury free. XD too was interesting in the Thai pair. Am happy Dechapol got himself a partner who strives to win like him. Hope they too can recreate such good results

Seo and Kim gonna be future no.1. Both of them can cover any side of the court because of their experience from playing XD

Seo and KWH looked a complete pair and very excited to see them play more ... Axelsen looks more active in Social Media than in the Court after his Paris Gold !!

Yeah me too. I think Axelsen is shifting his focuses in some respects and after what he has achieved I think he's earned the right

Would like to hear your opinion about how Chinese players pretended to not know about the medical timeout/spray rule to purposely delay the game...

clearly tactical. I don't like to see these kinds of things, the players must know the new rules by now

My Dad and I always made fun of Fajar - Rian, we called them world no 1 by giveaway as a joke. It's because they were Indonesia no 3 MD pair (topped by Minions and Daddies). And they became World no 1 after a lot of top MD pairs are gone or getting older (Li-Liu, Endo-Watanabe, Kamura-Sonoda, Daddies & Minions stop dominating, etc). So yeah, not surprised by their struggles nowadays. My question to you is now that we saw Jin Yong played with Kang Min Hyuk, what would be the best pairing between these 4 Korean MD players in your opinion?
@BenBeckmanBadminton2 сағат бұрын
you could probably put that argument to many of the top pairs now who went through the same period of time by that merit. In regards to Korean pairs I think KWH/SSJ and JY/KMH are the best combos. Right/Left combos are deadly with great options for combos, the styles match up well, and with KWH/SSJ I think there's potential to dominate the discipline and JY/KMH could easily be top 3 too

Sad to see Shi Yu Qi seemingly peaking just after the olympics, given he's unlikely going to go for the next one, but good that he didn't let the olympics disappointment weigh him down.
@gone117-r8g10 сағат бұрын
he could pull a chou and be 33 and in great shape for the next olympics, chou is 35 and almost beat syq right now
@BenBeckmanBadminton7 сағат бұрын
some might say he peaked before the Olympics. But I'd say he was in good shape there just the expectations and the fact Kunlavut came in on fire was too much for him

I think Viktor is wise to seek the help of PG to modify his game. It's very hard to self actualise such changes and Peter is well versed on the impact of age on a singles player. The entropy that natural comes for all players is, at first, very slight and may amount to a fall off of just a few percentage points of performance but in a sport like badminton that slowing down manifests as not only a reduction is shot quality, but also shot options. I feel that Viktor will need to rely more on the shuttle to do the work for him rather than replying on his physical prowess, especially against a cadre of increasingly younger and more agile opponents.

@bharathv03 with TTY I've heard a few things but the last thing I heard was that she wanted to comeback after surgery and go out in a better way. If she returns I don't think it would be a long one but it would be fitting for someone like her to not retire injured

Had LZJ made the final at WTF do you think he would have beaten SYQ? I’m still upset, that was his moment, he was two setting the top 10 like it was nothing! Do you think he will still have the same presence he had at WTF at his return?
@BenBeckmanBadminton2 сағат бұрын
I think this is too hard to say. Different tournament, different conditions and different pressures. But if he came in in the same form, or even similar, then he would have been difficult to beat. I think that's best you can say. In regards to his return, this has many variable attached to it. We'll just have to wait and see
