Both versions work. But I really appreciate the slower pace of the new version because it fits the tone of the albums better. All you really need is to cut some use of that sample in the background during lil Wayne’s verse and reintroduce Ty’s “Go!” adlibs and it’s perfect in my mind.

I remember when he released TLOP, I found it very innovative that he had the ability to play with streaming platforms (which were relatively new at the time) and update his album in real-time, which challenged the norms of a “normal release”. If we hypothetically consider that he deliberately gives us unfinished songs (with the intention of reworking and reuploading them later) or completes them with AI in a sort of “fuck you, y’all deserve this” mode because, in the end, all his songs get leaked? Then the question becomes, “how is everything getting leaked?” When I heard Kanye singing the chorus of “Lifestyle” and not Ty, I found it bold that he decided to downgrade the song in this way, and i have to admit that i really like that. Personally I think that the first half of the album is really great and could be better produced but overall is pretty impressive, the second half on the other hand is disappointing. the disappointment comes due to the wait. We all expected that V2 would be even better than V1. V1 was an absolute banger though, hard to top. If you put aside the expectation and the disappointment of the wait, i think it is actually a decent album with a few songs with a nice vibe for the summer. I actually like it. I really like the organ vibes trough out the album. I must admit though, that a few of the leaks were actually better. Promotion for example sounded alot better in the leak than it did on the album. But still happy it dropped and I will enjoy it when I sit at the beach in my upcoming vacation. Favourite Track: Sky City. Let's see what V3 is bringing to us in 2029.
