The almost universal mischaracterization of Donald Trump as 'unpredictable', untrustworthy and unstable astounds me. He may well be repetative and vague in his wording but you can trust him absolutey in keeping his word, having your back and not suffering fools gladly. The west is finally about to be put in safe hands.

Analysis of Trump that relies on pound shop psychiatry about his 'obvious' motivations is very low grade. "He sees himself as a deal maker who wants to make deals so I think he'll make a deal." Spoken like someone who thinks Elon Musk 'just gets his engineers to do the work'. Can't we do better than this?

Netantnyahu fired gallant because gallant was taking orders from the US and putting Israel troops in harm's way with a high loss of Israeli troops. This was one of the main reasons he was fired.

6:07 on the point of how painful it was. It still is extremely painful because it led directly to the creation of the Hamas Terror state which led to the 10/7 massacre. No one in their right mind in Israel would be stupid to give them another opportunity after how the first chance ended in Gaza. Especially in Israel’s biblical heartland on the mountains that topographically control Israel’s Mediterranean coastline cities and suburbs. It would be suicidal and stupid.

@@jansport0409 Perhaps you have read Rashid Khalidi The Hundred Years' War on Palestine? It is certainly a more broad ranging and illuminating text. For example, Chapter 5 covering the period 1987 to 1995. Consider the folly of Ariel Sharon and Menachem Begin pursuing a "colonial mission" but also of the folly or "poor strategic vision" of the PLO leaders. Zionism has not benefitted the people of the region.

@@jansport0409 Odd, the book arises out of academic research and supported by peer review. Suggest you read Rashid Khalidi to truely understand settler colonialism in the context of Zionism, not only enormously damaging to Palestine but to the Israeli settlers' consciousness and ultimately their security and health and governance and growth.
