Excellent video again Cammy. It always makes my day better when I get home, and there is a new video from you, there is nothing better than seeing your lovely family. I've started seeing a few people coming into where i work wearing your merch 😊. I must admit it all looks fantastic quality Cammy when you see it in person. I hope you and Spot are recovering well, and you all have a great week ahead. Take care 💜

It is strange to have fly strike with cool weather. Those are some persistent flies. Glad the lambs did ok at the marker. Cheers!

Tell me is that Meg or Spot leading the commercial team out at the beginning of the vlog? 😊😊😊. Bonnie is looking as gorgeous as ever! Wonderful prices for the lambs and good average too….. The fly strike is horrible for them I can imagine and the larvae don’t take long to hatch by the hundreds 🙄🙄🙄. Always something to do on a farm Cammy and Lizzy. ❤️🇦🇺🏴

A boy Cammy another good video 👍. Good average weight for the biggest lambs. They were more than likely hoggin the feed for themselves 🤣. It's good to move the biggest on, it gives the smaller ones a better chance to thrive.

I think the extra feed has already and will take these sheep along faster and to higher weights with better condition. The key issue is just when to "pull the plug" on the lighter, slow growing lambs and batch and load them off the farm as they are highly unlikely to make any profit. The key is the rate of daily liveweight gain of these poorer lambs which your Te Pari gives you every time you weigh.

The Lambs look really good, to me at least. The fly Strike, not so good, but my neighbor told me he's seeing shocking amounts of flies here in South-West Virginia, we're in the Appalachian Mountains, the temp drops drastically as soon as the Sun is behind the Mountains, yet still... My Roommate is struggling with flies IN THE HOUSE, and we have no idea how they are coming in! [I have things set up upstairs so flies rarely get up here, ha] So seeing Lambs with Fly Strike in October is not as shocking as it should be... ugh.

I was thinking about one of your last vlog's Cammy - the sheep that had injury from the vac in their neck - the one's that reacted did the needle go into a vein instead of the flesh? Not something you could prevent unless using a needle that you can aspirate the needle first

You’d be disappointed with the weights in the market, 3kg shy of home. Did they go back to their field with creep if weighed the day before?

Cammy I need to send my lambs over your way. Same weight lambs here in Western Australia and we aren’t even getting half that of your prices. And feed costs are just rising

Liking the videos as always Cammy. But a word of caution, in most of your sale videos you seem to be running a fair bit overloaded on your trailers. I got this load, including trailer to over 4ton where the legal limit is 3.5ton. sorry to be a gloom monger.

You know the factories. They'll pay for heavier lamb's for the best cuts. There only going to pay low for the cheaper cuts for the supermarket.

Cammy! Why do your lambs have a much lower weight a the market than on your Te Pari?
@Dan.Whiteford3 ай бұрын
When weighed at home fresh off the field they likely have full bellies whereas weighed at the market they will likely have relatively empty bellies and have urinated. With fat lambs and fat cattle the buyer is buying by the market weigher weight X the price per kilo they bid for the group which is why Cammy talks about how well they sold expressed as pence per kilogram.
@TheSheepGame3 ай бұрын
Yeah they easy lose 2kgs between morning weight then standing and travel to the market 👍

Removing any extra dirty wool from the sheep's backends so that they are relatively clean for the slaughterhouse to deal with to at least severely limit possible dung and urine contamination of the carcase - Government and public health regulations ultimately.

@@janetf9076 > I think.. she means when the Kids are Not around. That it is more respectful to call her by her name. She is the children's mother, not his. Hence: 'Lizzie' to him. ( But it really is up to what Lizzie wants...?) * This is a common thing in some families. I asked my husband to please call me by my name.... and he respected that. It helps when young children are learning to talk if he says mum. That way they say mum. If he calls her Lizzie the kids will also. They will follow what they hear. It's up to them. I don't think it should matter to any of us. She doesn't really need an advocate. If she did I would tell him, Lizzie looks like she needs some help with the kids and a break. She looks like she's close to burnout. Probably from taking care of everything extra while he recovered from surgery. But since she doesn't, I won't 😜😊
