Tip: if you plan on farming your own essences for your robemage, start aoe farming silithus(earth and air) and feralas (water) at lvl 55. It got me to 59 until I had 10 of each

Everybody knew this would happen. Their is only more warriors in Classic with mage a close second. I bet thirty to thirty five percent of most servers are warriors and mages. If you add priest then you probably have half of most servers. They are the three best classes, with maybe rogue so it does make sense.

Without the boss it's easy in green of the eagle gear. With the boss you will need better gear.

aoe farming as shown in the video doesnt work like that on official classic servers. its way more difficult, eg. you cant run away from a huge group of mobs with your back towards them. this will most likely 1shot you. you need to backpaddle. if you are with your back towards npc melees, their melee range will be ridiculous. there's also a bug that sets your cast time back after being hit with melee attacks, even with ice barrier active.

thats because this entire video is based off a P server. hes in full naxx gear, also the zf farming clip isnt true either. you pull all those mobs, and stand there for a few second like he did, and youll be in the graveyard instantly.

Scorch/ Pom pyro spec mages are so broken. Only things that can kill them are afflicted locks shadow priests and stun lock rogues. And even then it’s still a crazy fight and the other party usually dies from the fire dot. It’s pretty great

Hey, there are noob's watching and this one is a little confused. What is AOE? and What is Manage M? Can you make a version of this video for people who've never played WoW before or who are like me and are in their first week playing? BTW I subscribed because I'm fairly certain your videos WILL help me, but to make it easier would be nice if you could make at least some of your video's for those who've either never played before or who have 'Just Started Playing' and by that I mean have only been playing for a month or less.

Joann Loves AoE stands for area of effect which in turn means hitting multiple «mobs» (lingo for enemies) at once. The alternative to aoe is «single target» damage dealing. Manage M? I assume that M refers to mana, meaning the resource you make use of if you are playing a caster class (priest, mage, druid, shaman or warlock). The blue bar near your health bar/life. X mana is the cost of casting spells and if you run out, you won’t be able to do nearly as many cool things - possibly including staying alive - so therefore managing mana is key to caster life. Mana potions and drinking water brings mana back up but the first has a limit to how often they can be used and tje latter can only be used after the fight is over. Hope this helped.

That's what I mean. We are so overpowered in comparison to vanilla with the min/maxing everyone is doing, we don't need more.

@@miklosszabo4551 Then we look at the kind of encounters they are. How many Bosses do we have, that are damage races: Vael and Chromaggus. The first boss kinda, but there I can use fire. Vael yeah, but raids now do so much more damage than raids back in the day. If the aggro is okay, this guy will be down in no time. Chromaggus doesn't care, everyone gets the same treatment. Anyone else you can take your time.

4:20 You got this completely backwards, you want to level as fire and stack +fire spell power gear until you lvl ~28 and THEN you respec into frost. This is because frost needs a lot of talents for it to get good, and you can't really AoE grind until your mid 20s anyways because you need CoC and the arctic reach talent.

As PvP goes, I guess you never seen too many good and well geared Hunters and what they do to most cloth classes with just aimed+multi shot. Just saying. EDIT: Not to bash mages but use a FAP and there goes all the mages snares from root, cone and such. Sure you still sheep folks who using FAPs, plus as mage you can't dispel it.

Odd that you put vs druids in the same category as warriors and paladins, given that they can break ALL of your mage cc. Vs a decent druid the deciding win con is usually counter spell, whether they make you use it with a fake cast or if you lock them out of nature. In any case they are hellishly hard to take down.

so-far in vanilla, mages are not the top dogs in MC, it's instead Warriors and Rogues. For gold farming MAges are again, not top dogs, it's instead Warlocks doing solo DME jump runs and all other classes have quite good farm which yields about 50g/h so mage farming is nothing special atm compared to all classes, which was quite disappointing for me. Mage in PvP however, seems to be better than the rest, but that is most likely due to AV being the best place to get honor atm and since that is a big open space it's perfect for mages to pvp.

i made a mage and i regret not making a hunter. I would be FULL epic by now... hunter have great advantages. 1 of them is not having competition ( especially on horde side) so u are getting decked pretty fast. And let's be real... in classic gear = everything. So if u can just outgear every mage and 1 shot them with ur full epic gear... yea that's good enough.

@@miothan sadly too much to say in one reply I will say that Arcane playstyle is more fun unlike fire / Frost you don't have huge increases in power but you can still use all of the same spell mechanics at base LvL allowing for a more "surgical" rotation

they are less powerful and so arent meta, i like a 28/x arcane fire built for turreting, 2/3 of that talent that gives 2% crit/dmg and then max out fireball talents and crit to light people up in BGs, pom blastwave in the same toolkit is some of the most fun, nornally you choose between 1 of those.

When you’re giving your healer water in your party, don’t be that mage that gives 20 or 40. If you’re nice to us, we’ll be sure you get a PWS before you die. Trade us 20 water or even less, and we’ll have to save our mana for healing the tank since we can’t be too wasteful with our mana. :P

For PvE Fire does lack aoe dps(due to cd's) compared to frost, for PvP Fire is great for aoe tho.

due to cooldowns? elaborate? fire mages have the same blizzard it just doesnt slow, but their flamestrike crit is bigger and blastwave as well, cone deals 150% crit and misses out on 35% dmg, fire mage or deep arcane is the top aoe dps.
