I’m Bill Anders pool guy at his home in San Diego And have known he and his wife for 2 years. I spoke to him a week ago before he went to his house in Washington for the summer. He just had a hip replacement and we were talking about still being able to fly of all things. I can assure you, the family is devastated and Bill didn’t want to go out like that. He was still full of life and had no intention of crashing his plane. I’ve talked to him nearly every week for 2 years while I was over there. He was a great person and a personal hero of mine.

@@TheRamon510 Bro. 100%. And now it's on steroids... Have been curious about how widespread the lunacy is: 10% of Americans believe flat earth 'theory', but that's usually braided in with myriad ideas re: how the entire field of astrophysics is a hoax. An old acquaintance accused me of being a 'sheeple' for honoring the results of what superior minds have discovered throughout the centuries. You know - Galileo, et al. And if that's not awful enough, the 'no forests' theory is enough to John 11:35.

At 91 your body shows signs of fatigue and deterioration and so does the Beech Mentor! The fact that he was by himself flying an old plane (few care about 😉) and over water, where no one else could get hurt shows his responsibility! With "a lot of luck" I mean, that he was the right man on the right place, at the right moment and recognized what he was seeing......and made the shot! I guess, we all (human mankind) cannot thank enough! On the other view: if there really is a God, he is the one, who was blessed to be the one to have send the message: "look, at our home!
