I lost a beloved dog to a heartworm stroke in 1979...his vet wasn't informed on the new meds. Ben was only 6. Under my feet are 3 almost 14 year old border collies who just returned from a romp....since Ben my dogs never miss their little Ivermectin pill every month, even if I get noodles! Here in the south it's a year round thing. Kennels and stables get the doses with syringes which are much less expensive but require serious measurement. This medicine has improved the lives of millions or people and animals....God Bless all who worked on it!

I had a Pekingese who was born with genetic mites (mother should never have bred). He was dying as he lost almost all of his hair and his skin was being eaten alive. I went to an animal skin special who had told me to give this a try (a sample of ivermectin). I put a few drops into his food and within days... his hair began to grow back and he survived! This was before ivermectin became available in what is known as Bravecto and other meds for heart guard.

If US fire departments were for-$$$$-profit, your fire extinguisher would be illegal: Firefighters will sell you INSURANCE, and come to your house to put out fires there, for a fee, which they set. Fire extinguishers are scientifically proven to be ineffective, as when firefighters have arrived at burning houses and attempted to use them to put out the flames, they have had poor results, so the recommended protocol is the standard use of water hoses, flame retardants, and of course axes to contain and extinguish flames. People who keep fire extinguishers are kooks, who think that they will be protected by them from fires engulfing their homes, and THOSE PEOPLE are endangering your neighborhood! If their house catches fire, it could set YOUR house on fire! That's why everyone needs fire insurance and no one should rely on a fire extinguisher. So called "Fire extinguishers" are not just ineffective and unreliable, they are actually dangerous: when thrown into the flames in attempts to put out fires, they will EXPLODE. Many cases of deaths due to fire extinguishers serve as a sad testimony to the wrong-headedness of these pathetic, nutty anti-firefighter individuals.

Probably had other issues going on like a clogged lymphatic system due to the wrong diet. Sadly people feed their dogs human food and high protein diets. Our dogs and us humans can't survive on protein diets without major problems. Ever see tumors on your dog? Their diet is the problem 99.9% of the time. Youll never hear this truth from anyone else though unless you know where to look. Hint. Robertmorsend youtube channel.
@BluegrassBarn3 жыл бұрын
I am very sorry about your dog. Any meds that kill heartworms too quickly kill the host animal. This is why heartworm treatment takes a while (weeks), with multiple very low doses, and the dog must be kept to low activity during the treatment.
@saucywench91223 жыл бұрын
Makes sense though. Of course any vet will tell you that would have happened no matter what heart dewormer you gave a dog with such an advanced case.
@mikedavison34003 жыл бұрын
@ Lisa Meyer Exactly! Care must be taken when eradicating parasites or tumours not to overwhelm a body’s ability to clear out the debris. It’s like not taking out our garbage for months and then expecting the one can we’re permitted to handle it all.

There are certain breeds that don’t metabolize it well. Usually shepherd breeds. You can easily find the list online. I give it to my beagle twice a year but my yorkie got sick from it. I fed her high fat food to counter the reaction and she bounced right back.
